Wtf is her problem or his problem? Obviously people Will criticise them, especially since they weren't clear on what they use it for.... Does that mean they should pull the plug especially for a book that isn't hot garbage. Authors and Caring about the opinion of people that don't read their book is crazy....
This is harsh but also true. I'm not going to defend anyone harassing authors, but authors have and will get "hate mail" from readers whether they use AI or not. You really need a thick skin if you're going to share your writing publicly and engage with the audience in the way many of these authors do.

That's what you and I are saying, they need a thicker skin because hate will obviously be there when people values doesn't aline with yours. The author should have honestly expected the hate.. especially in forum of choices. They literally have strong, negative views of any Ai related.

Learning English properly isn't something they would have done currently especially if they were writing a book. I am from a nation that our first language isn't English but 70% knows how to speak it because we were taught at a very young age.
Hell, learning a language isn't easy and can take yearsss, I know two language... My native language, pidgin and English... The easiest was pidgin.
When i said learn English properly i obv meant not offloading it to AI. Like the best way to learn any language is to practice is constantly with the confidence of an average man thinking he knows more on the topic of squids than woman whose phd is in marine biology. If you looked at the author's post you'd see they can already speak English well the problem is that they don't have the confidence in translating their native tongue into English.

New IF: The Mark of The Devil

The Mark of the Devil is a colonial-era horror/adventure IF game developed on Choicescript. The game is narrative-based and recommended for mature audiences.

Summary:

The year is 1722. A pestilence known as The Rot plagues the New World, and the Witch Trials have been raging for 3 decades. You are an indentured servant of the Church, seeking unachievable penance for a sin that cannot be undone; a pact with the Devil, sealed with blood on the eve of your 13th birthday.

In an attempt to save a child's soul, the Church calls upon your help to save a possessed boy, which thrusts you into a perilous adventure that can determine the fate of the New World.

You will have the chance to perform an exorcism, travel west across a Rot-infested colonial America, choose who joins your group, and fight to keep them alive. You will have to face human foes along with devils, demons, and creatures of American Folklore.

Features:

The demo features 36,000 words, with the second chapter still being written. Play as either male or female at the start, with additional gender options available later. You can customize your character's appearance, personality, and sexuality. The game offers two romance options, both are gender-selectable.
