It has been a long time since i played this one, so i don't recall much. I think i stopped playing once i reached chapter 2, i am not sure, but i know that it was still early in the story. I have no idea what factors made me lose interest but one look at the art and, well it may sound irrelevant, made me remember that the male ROs all having a beard was one of them...
yeah honestly the plot was a bit difficult to follow but the author changed some stuff about ROs i believe? they constantly rewrite and fix scenes
I doubt it will get past a prologue if CD Project Red get wind of it, especially if the author intends to eventually charge people via a patreon or similar service. CD Project Red originally gave approval to a wonderful VN that imo looked like the romance and spice content was going to be better than their own game and was free and then they revoked approval and got it taken down. It was particularly great content for straight woman and homosexual men as the first 3 love interests were men.
I remember that one. One route was even available for download in its entirety and then the game was removed from everything. Really sad.
I prefer long demos, something that wouldn't take me 5 to 11 mins to play and I am done. Too short to get invested in the story, too short to be memorable, too short to easily ignore when there's a new update.
not to piggyback on your comment but doing so already, lmao. there's this specific game that recently made me so mad while browsing Tumblr. they were talking about characters, world-building, and a spin-off based on this place in the game. so exciting, right? unfortunately, there's no demo. it's basically the author playing RP with a bunch of people. it makes me so mad how many IFs spaces are now filled with really short demos or promises of a game that most of the time never arrives - just pure roleplay. i'm so thankful for all the amazing authors but doing things like this just feels icky.

im probably wrong but to me it just feels like people see the popularity in being an IF author and just jump on it without actually thinking of the hard work it takes to actually finish a story/game,speaking about the toxic tumblr IF scene, it feels like a clique that nearly every if author knows each other, boosting the works of their friends, which isnt a bad thing..however most of the time the works theyre boosting have zero content and just serve for the authors to pat eachother on the back
