New IF: Red In Tooth And Claw

You are a vampire. Well, half.

You have a sibling. Well, a half sibling.

Created for the sole purpose of keeping said sibling—heir to one of the oldest vampire clans—alive, you grow up at their side, part whipping boy, part younger sibling, in the upper echelons of vampire and human society. Look back on your unique upbringing as a definitely normal adult. Surely you're unscathed and will lead a totally human life!

Don't worry, the vampires are pretty humanoid. They have magic, though. And questionable worldviews.

This is a work in progress and subject to change. It is mostly a narrative story: it will not be stat heavy nor very branch-y, so to speak. You do not have to romance Valentine, but they are intended to share possibly the most significant and complex relationship with the player.

You. Select gender, assigned *** at birth, appearance, and some personality traits that definitely aren't affected by your family and history.

Valentine fys Eogan sanguis Noldor; the first RO. Full vampire; your half (or is it three-quarter?) sibling. You hold a lot of value to them; who knows how much and in what ways? Select their gender. Their appearance matches yours.

Eogan fys Nessa sanguis Noldor. Full vampire. A father, sort of.

??? Human. A sister. An aunt, maybe. A mother?

??? The second RO. Select their gender.

What's new?

- There is now a way to jump straight to the episode. On the side bar go to "Episode Select" and it'll take you to a quick character creator.
- There was some major issues with the romance lock in E7, so I had to change it (hence why the 'jump to' section exists since saves are might be broken).

Evangeline "Eva" Vane
A sweet, observant maid at Blackwood Academy who offers a soft, comforting presence in an otherwise cold environment. Quiet and quick to lend a helping hand, she moves through the gaslit halls like a shadow, keeping her own counsel. But beneath her gentle demeanor lies a sharp mind and deep, dangerous secrets that tie her directly to the academy's hidden history.

- Bisexual players can now change the ROs' genders at will until the end of Chapter 1. (How's that for a superpower?)

Attention: There won't be a 'skip' available for the new content, as it's very much a continuation of the original release—the two halves making up all of Act 1. Such an option will be available for future updates, hopefully you understand

New IF: Don't Cry For Me (Chapter 1)

Play as the second child of the greatest general that the Empire of Dacian has seen in a generation. However, to your father's dismay, you are a daughter rather than a son. His dismay only deepens when you are followed by your twin sister.

Your childhood is a happy one, despite your father's disappointment with your *** and your mother's resentment. You played with your siblings and friends. You even got to meet the royal family.

When Emperor Velen is overthrown, you are a month off from turning eighteen. A barbarian, Cahir of Leofrey, takes the throne and ten days after your birthday, your sister and you are summoned to serve as concubines.

How will you cope when you are hiding a secret? That a voice plagues you most days and nights, urging you to do things that ought not be spoken about? Will you be able to claw your way to power?

Emperor Cahir of Leofrey
A barbarian. He stole the emperor's throne and desecrates the legacy of those who came before him by keeping the company of witches and warlocks. He killed the entire royal family, save the eldest daughter, who is now his empress.
-- Appearance: Cahir stands at 6'3' (190 cm). He has platinum blond hair that only reaches his ears. His skin is pale, and he has icy blue eyes that make him look unnerving. He is thirteen years older than the MC.

Emperess Sirin Daken
The eldest and favorite child of the Fourth Daken Emperor. After Emperor Cahir killed Emperor Velen and his son on the field of battle, he took Sirin as his wife to give his reign legitmacy. As expected, she hates him and wears black to show mourning for the family her husband killed.
-- Appearance: Sirin is a tall woman, standing at 5'7" (170 cm). Her long, glossy black hair is unstyled and her tanned skin is flawless. Her dark brown eyes seem empty. She is six years older than the MC.

Yves/Yve
Y has always been a friend to you. Whether that is all they are, or if they are an adopted sibling or a bastard of your father is up to you.
(Note: If female, Yve will pretend to be a man to join you in the palace.)
-- Appearance: Y is tall, standing at 5'9" (175 cm) if female and 6'1 (185 cm) if male. They have shoulder length brown hair, piercing green eyes, and dark olive skin. They are one year older than the MC.

A/N: I have split the "birth" portion and the "childhood" portion into two separate chapters, with birth being the prologue and childhood being chapter one. This change is for clarity and ease of reading. Childhood will come later!
