New? VN: Merry Crisis

(A/N): First, the Merry Crisis VN demo is participating in a big event starting October 19, 10am PST—the Steam next fest, so if you wanna check it out or share it with someone who might like the game, this is your best chance to do so! It'll help boost the game in the eyes of the algorithm gods.

Second, the VN is close to release in early December—stay tuned for the exact release date very soon. After that, I'll work on porting it to mobile.

It also was amongst the top 40 finalists of the Southeast Asian Games awards 2026!

Finally, there are still plans to release a text-based version of it for web and mobile as well, but it will no longer be on CoG/HG, and I'll update you guys on that as soon as I have a concrete timeline.

Thank you so much for your support. I'm so incredibly excited to share the full game with you guys, who played and loved Merry Crisis before anyone else did.

Update: Defiled Hearts: The Barbarian

The newly edited chapter 4 (scenes up to and including chapter 4’s dinner scene) has now been added to the public demo. (You can skip right into it!) Almost every scene out of the 50k words was re-written, and some completely new scenes were added (such as a shopping scene with the Legatus).

Update: Vertex Fall (Chapter 2 Part 1)


(A/N): Here I am, a bundle of nerves and excitement, because this part has a different pace from the opening chapter. There's a little more room to breathe, settle in, and get to know the people around you.

But don't worry, I haven't forgotten what kind of game you're playing...

The chapter adds 50K words (47K excluding code), bringing the game to 93K words total.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS CHAPTER:

It's all about settling into Ashbrook.

- Get to know the area, snoop around, or get up to other questionable activities.
- Follow your darker instincts, or just notice that something about you is a little... off.
- Start figuring out what it’s like to be Karla’s friend (or start putting some distance between you).
- Get to know Cameron better, or just learn to tolerate him.
- Learn a little more about your other roommates.
- Try to take care of your mental health?
- Figure out where you stand with the cat.
- Find a job and uncover a few more things about yourself??
- Give your wardrobe some attention.

But most importantly, don’t get too cozy...
