You stay in Egypt if you have less than 100 escape score.
It's calculated like this:

+ 25 if napoleon_favour_dego is true
- 10 × act3_egypt_mistrust
Egypt mistrust is gained through openly questioning and denying Napoleon through the Egyptian campaign (or failing at checks), usually they give 1 mistrust point, the big one is relying on the British twice, you get a whopping 5 points of mistrust if you send your sick to them, after you've already given them the Turkish prisoners.
