Being able to experience playing Metal Gear Solid and the Fire Emblem games in a console instead of an emulator.

Publicly playing D&D without ostracization and accusatory arrests for dementia.

Inviting other kids at home and playing Mortal Kombat.

And some other stuff

Doing something without thinking the consequences, and also can't blame anyone for each bad decision I chose anymore...as a kid I can do something first and think about consequences after...now..the older i get, the more carefully I think about each option in life

I miss my freedom to play with other kids, read, spend time with my parents. I still try to make time for fam but mostly its work work work.

I miss spending more time with my siblings. We're all grown up now. They're both married. We try to meet as much as possible but life gets in the way.

Simple life in the village through a child's eyes, even though my daily schedule was basically always the same lol; breakfast with grandparents, watching cartoons, playing outside with animals and friends, lunch, cartoons again lol, outside one more time and than dinner following with me being put into bed by grandma and going into sleep while she was reading childbooks

My half sister, she wasn't just my best friend she was my rock. Always made me laugh when I wanted to cry, taught me how to be strong and to not GAF about what others think. She lives in France now with her boyfriend so sadly we don't see each other more than once or twice a year.

I agree to a degree only problem is as a child we tend to take too much for granted.

Actually, it's nice that most of you fellow creatures of the night / mod have fond memories that you will not get to experience again.
I know, sounds weird, it'll make sense I promise!
In my case, the rest of my childhood memories are mostly similar to young Harry Potter's — living with the Dursleys but with closer relatives — which is why I'm glad to be considered an adult by the adults/bullies.
Now I can finally be a grownup-loner-nerd

Ps: Besides, thanks to growing up, the internet, Anne Rice and a very recent gender swapped version of a very vilified teenage vampire romance, I've discovered games and the (moderate I swear, your honor!) vamp culture!

I went through the same thing, try going back in your memory day by day, like first remember what happened yesterday then the day before then before and go for as far as you can.

miss living down the hall to my brother and hear him playing games late at night. we live in completely different countries now and i miss him alot.

I miss the sleepless nights, playing MMORPG's and talking with new people in the chats, making friends and all that. I loved listening to other people talking. Now it's just all so stressing.
