Stories that left you disappointed for a reason

I still stand by my statement that Unsupervised had the most **** ending ever, because it's exactly like this one you mentioned, but million times worse:ROFLMAO:
I swear, mfs give you a third of the game, and then at the end proceed to explain the other two thirds in some insane monologue and that's it. And even then, they don't finish the game, but leave you on some retarded cliffhanger just so they can **** you off even more

This one is worse because it's more than a third of the story you're getting. Imagine you finally reach the climax of the story, a bunch of stuff is clearly happening at once and then nothing. The next scene is the bard character telling you everything that happened next before talking to all the main characters on the ship. Unsupervised was BS but it wasn't the equivalent of a ruined orgasm.

So just learned that God Syndicate is keeping its full demo behind a paywall for 2 months and like Jesus that just killed all the hope I have for the game to ever actually come out I get wanting to get paid for your work but come on man two months for what reason??? I dont think authors should even make patreons if they dont update regularly like it took years for this demo to update it's really disappointing cause I liked this game it had a pretty unique idea but come on

I'm wondering if anyone will point out it's technically against the rules.
Last time I remember CoG staff were asked to clarify if and how the Patreon rule applies, there was no clear definitive answer given. I believe they are afraid of losing authors if they press the issue, but then why not get rid of the rule no one enforces anyway? ffs

All of this was mentioned in the gen chat, and honestly if anyone knows how to report this to cog staff, do let me know and I'll do it
 
btw the update post in the thread says: "Chapter Two will remain on the DIVINE TIER of my Patreon for a month", so either I'm missing something or the author changed their mind.
I stand corrected, it actually is two months

This is the exact message, meaning that it will be for that divine tier for a month, and after that it will still be on patreon but also for the mortal tier, whatever the **** that is
And I'll see if I can report this **** to the cog, though I doubt those bunch of pussies will do anything
 
Maybe they have a special deal with COG? I doubt anything will be done even if they don't. Some games with "Patreon" tiers tend to never have to upload them. It seems like it's up to the author.

The only deals that I've been informed of, are the ones when you publish your games through them, and not just hosting a wip, though that doesn't mean that some deal about that haven't been made as well

From what I've heard CC has deals with them and there are barely any games from her that I'd call fully released.



Edit: She even has a Heart's Choice game that as usual is not finished yet iirc and that would be official and not hosted, right?
