I love when people are so confidently wrong. It’s kinda funny.
So, first, I use they/them, though I doubt any of you respect that since you don’t actually see authors as people with lives and feelings.
Second, I’ve never been associated with the Sherlock IF. That’s Dori’s. I know media literacy is dropping, but just because a name starts with a D doesn’t mean they’re the same people. All my ifs have my name in the bio.
Third, for you whining about IDT, it’s a spin-off for a reason. It spoils Disenchanted, which isn’t completed, so of course I’m not posting the demo.
FOURTH, and finally, I don’t care about any of your opinions. I’m not holding my patrons at gunpoint; if they don’t like my content, they are free to unsubscribe.
Have the day you all deserve.
Why, hello there, Dakota. I understand you prefer they/them now, so I will be using that going forward.
If you really weren't the Sherlock IF author like you claim, you wouldn’t even bother responding, right? But here you are, all
defensive. Hmm, makes people wonder, doesn’t it? Oh, and two Patreons? Nice
hustle there.
Also since you're here and all ears, let me be the voice of the people.
starting so many new IFs without finishing the older ones (like Reaper bay & The unseelie) is not a good look. Spreading yourself too thin means none of them get finished, and it’s
annoying for people who have been waiting forever for
updates.
The Patreon situation isn’t great either. Promising content and missing deadlines all the time is a bad look (your excuse? internet connection, playing d&d bla bla), ESPECIALLY when people are paying for it. And the whole DLC thing? Having paid extras for an unfinished book feels
scammy, especially when the main plot hasn’t even kicked off yet.
People just want you to focus on what you already have and actually
deliver. If you kept promises and stopped overloading with extra stuff, I think things would be way smoother.
Just saying, people aren’t mad for no reason.
And I hope you have a day between everyday, to recover from the day before
