Lol yeah, imo it would much better if they made a sequel of duskwood instead of jump to a new story tho, there are still many unanswered questions. Tbh im more excited with the side story instead of the main story itself lol but so far so good

Yes, but in the latest episode, we still don't know where Jake is, instead another character appears. Like phil's case and else. I havent play it without the code, so i dont know how different it is with the code. Its more fun to find out about jake and our friend from duskwood instead of finding adam

Lol same here. Oh, i also heard that theory, it could be tho. But while i feel jake is someone who cautious and detail-oriented, adam is not giving me the vibe... yet. But again knowing moonvale and duskwood is not that far from each other, anything could happen. Let's wait for another eternity

I remember loving those books, shame I don't have them on me anymore.
They probably didn't think that the hacker storyline alone would be big enough to make a whole new game out of it. Other than that, the only unanswered questions left were our phone number (that can be easily resolved by conversation with Hannah) and Richy. It's not that much...
And I understand why they wanted to try something new. Personally, I really like the new story. If it continues to be this good, I'll enjoy it even more than Duskwood. I'm talking about the plot itself, the game still has flaws; they haven't completely removed the AI, although at least limited it a bit and changed the design of some parts of the game. Backgrounds look good same characters profiles.
In my teens, I was all over the early version of Episode, then in the pandemic, I started playing Love Island The Game (rip seasons 1-3), and when that went to **** I learned about IFs but generally only care for reality tv IFs so body count, summer of love, the supernatural one I can't remember the name of, etc
This is almost the same for me. Goosebumps -> Lone Wolf -> Early COG (Slammed, Great Tournament etc) / Delight Games -> Choices -> parser IF (Sins Against Mimesis, Zork, Emily Short etc) -> Twine games/choose your story/Magium and back to CoG
I got into abandonware in the early 2000's and played just a lot of DOS games and really fell in love with stuff like "A mind forever voyaging" and "Alter Ego" I later got into forum RPs, MUDs, and VNs later one so I just got very used to text based games before I ever even stumbled into CoG played some of the very early CoG games like Choice of broadsides and choice of the dragon and found that I really liked the less game more story format of Choice's model.

Among others, yes, though it's been like more than a decade since I messed with telnet or anything mud related.
I discovered IFs during the early days of the pandemic, when I was mindlessly scrolling through the Play Store just looking for something to stimulate my mind.
That's when I came across The Grim and I.
Back then, younger me was pretty intimidated by books. I'd always opt for comics and manga instead, and honestly, the only books I ever read were the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, mostly because they had pictures in them.
But something about the concept of a world and a story you could actually interact with felt so unique to me. It drew me in like nothing else had before. I hadn't yet discovered visual novels or TTRPGs, so this was entirely new territory, and it was exciting.
From there, I just devoured every IF story and WIP that caught my interest. Eventually I ran out of things to read, and I figured it was finally time to branch out. So I made the leap into books and novels, and oh boy, am I glad I did. That transition introduced me to so many things I'm deeply grateful for.
Interactive fiction holds a special place in my heart, because without it, I'm not sure I ever would have discovered my love of reading at all.

I was just bored af and craving something to fill my mind, then i found the great tournament. I sail the seven sea for a free version and Stumble Upon sbenny when they still make mod for cog and hosted games and found a lot more IF, when they can't make em no more I was like a crack addict doing anything to get a hit. I tear the whole internet just find the discord for choice of mods and the site. Good times

School stress. At 14 years old, I started getting into e-books and found interactive fiction through that. Since school sucked and I was pretty much always pessimistic, reading IF's kinda gave me this one moment of peace and happiness. Literally, the first thing I always did after school was run into my room, take my phone, and read some IF. Today I'm 19, will be 20 in two months, and I'm still reading IF regularly while having a warm coffee.
