What's your IF take that would get the crowd throw tomatoes at you?

So. What kind of connoisseur of yandere would complain about IF like lemon soda, which frankly speaking... only make it on the chart beneath the level of dozens noncon sim™? You got threatened/weirded out more with lemon citrus men than the noncon clingy men-freaks?
Yeah! That's the funny part, isn't it? Like, in yandere games both the author and audience and MC agree that this ain't it, chief, but in WLGYL I feel like the protagonist is in danger from those clingy men, but everyone are just "it's fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine", and it is fine, because that's the genre where it's all fine, but I have the anticipation which only keeps building up and creeping me out even more. The horror is not in the game, but it is in my head!

(Ok. I'll be the one throwing you tomatoes instead).
(Flip the cart outta the way). I'm gonna make this pvp amp up.

No. You got me wrong. I'm insulting the yandere, my friend. And your title as connoisseur yandere. Clingy yandere freaks who done noncon are more safer to you than the simpy wimpy lemonade men? You freaked out more by the lemon squad?

Catch this tomato, friend 🍅

I suppose cause the yandere thing (although I can't say I remember playing any titles with rape, that's def not my thing, it's mostly limbs getting cut off, and if my legs are still in place, do you even love me?) is very theatrical one, creeps rarely come in form of a suddenly obsessed stranger lurking in the dark corners. But they do come as a very enthusiastic about your company colleague, who tries to forces himself into managing your work, who follows you on every lunch break and insists on accompanying you on your way home and on giving you gifts you don't accept. They do come as male friends who decided that since you are playing games together, you def want to date him, and if you say no, that's because he hasn't courted you enough yet. Those are very real and very scary. And while dudes with chains do happen, it's still mostly a scarecrow, this perfect criminal, who creates perfect victims. Now stop complaining about your colleague and get along with him, I don't need any problems here.

Still clingy wimpy freaks tho 🍅

But as additional notes: theres this sub-archetype to refer to different yan types. Its available on dere wiki, and frankly, u should check it out because obsession could come from that first sight thing or something. At the end of the day, It's ficition. Anything exists.

(Sips coffee)
This is pvp, of course it seeks problem. Especially if the pvp had been capped with heating buff.
Cheers to that 🍷

Well, ofc there are different types, but my favorites come in with a basement and a saw. You just don't really know how long a man will wimp and simp until he decides to expedite the process. But if you get outright kidnapped by a dude, asked if you wanna have kids, and then he kidnaps the kids too - that's just peak comedy.

Shouldn't we cheer with coffee then? >.>
Let me offer you a mouse and a fish instead, They are frens :3

Sounds familiar. Strade-impostor or something lol.

Thats just how obsession could run; the dude obsessed with part of himself/mc as well: the kids. All yans are narcissitic too no matter what. Remember that. If they ain't narcissistic, they wouldnt cling.

(No. We cheers with the blood your yan with the basement and the saw had spilled from you this time.)
Cheers 🍷

Nuuu, I need it to decorate the floors!
But, well, yeah, obv I consider yandere a horror genre. And horror is meant to be uncomfortable and scary. The dudes from the soda game aren't meant to be creepy, but they are to me, hence the bigger impression.

In case you dontkno, cc hill indeed specializing in spicy jalapeno corp, with the placement in dark romance department unit. Shes employ-eh of the year in that department.

But on serious matter, i think Wlgyl is still light in comparisson to it takes three to tango. Eye-bleaching worthy.

Ugh, CC Hill is like very prolific, what does she need AI for? I suppose, you just can't have enough that patreon money.

Im not saying she used ai, but im not saying she's clean either. Still not sure and i might just accuse her for it lol. But the if indeed look like something straight out of LLM-based with edit done rushed. 50-50

I mean, I'm not from those who thinks that AI is evil, but, well, she is an author and if she is selling something not written by her, tis a bit of a scam, no? Also I understand that you are speculating and not going to call for a crowd with torchers. It's just faux pas to put out paid content that gives impressions of barely edited AI-product anyways.

I don't mind the long-*** gaps between updates.

I know it's a bit of a running gag in the IF community that it tends to take, at best, half a year for an author to update, or at worst, a year or more...

Life just sucks sometimes.

And as someone who has always enjoyed the IF community and its works, I really admire those who are able to juggle their passion/hobbies in this absolute clown world we're living in.

((This is a shout out to everyone except people who open up Patreons to charge people to read a prologue + half of chapter 1 and then just posts along the lines of "NSFW - What each RO moans right before climaxxxing 🙈❤️‍🔥🙊💥." I will be meeting u all on your judgement day 😈))

Since sol allow it, I'm gonnna make it pvp. (Hold a sec, i'm preparing my second cart to store another wave of tomatoes).

Just when i thought @solavellan and itachi are people i don't want to fight with, this @Atropa Belladonna dude is downright the type of someone i don't want to poke by accident even when the lights are out 😭. Remind me to not trip him or something, guys. I'm going to hide in my basement.

Look I've had one before, they're great at times and I do reccomend them now and again but I don't need one in an IF and they don't need to be an RO! why can't I have a best friend that doesn't want to get in my pants?
Best friend often have an annoying personality of idiot who is constantly joking or teasing mc, thinking they're so funny and charming. Ugh.

For me, it's the Kinetic IF / VN that always got me. Always. Every. Single. Time. And the multiple choices that actually not even had any impact and not changed in the description of the plot. What's the CYOA Tag for? Fashion show?. It stands as Choose Your Obligatory Adventure at this point.
If anyone is labeling a kinetic VN as a CYOA they deserve to be shot for muddying the waters. Proper kinetic VNs are 100% always a traditional book dressed up in the visual novel style. They don't, by design, have any type of interactivity outside of using the save systems as bookmarks.

Now for my takes:
Gender-selectable characters are no different from characters whose gender are set if the set gender character's arc/story/interactions have nothing to do with their actual gender. If swapping out pronouns is the only reason you (general you, not aimed at anyone) find a character shallow then they would have been shallow even if their gender was set.

Similar idea for romances that are sexuality-locked too. If sexuality has no bearing on anything outside of the romance route (ex. impacts on a characters backstory, normal interactions with others, etc) than all locking them to a specific sexuality is just imposing needless limitations on player's choices in a genre about freedom of choice (within reason).

Also, I will never ever trust anyone's taste who recs In The Future with any seriousness. That IF is the epitome of a first draft that needs serious work to make viable and the only saving grace the author has is that they made it completely free. And everyone who takes the Tumblr/CoG approach of holding their hand and telling them it's the best thing they have ever read since sliced bread are doing them a complete and utter disservice.

Maybe it's just me, but 90% of IF authors need to go outside or read something that isn't from booktok/fan fiction. A lot of IFs basically have the same voice and writing as a fan fiction on A03, and the author treats their characters and setting the same way to boot. Tropes are tools, not your whole house, and that's not going into the usage of internet lingo in places and settings where it's not appropriate or the horrid grammar and flow.

Especially flow, so many IFs jump from one scene to another with no leading as to how we got there. My ADHD could maintain a proper train of thought longer than most IFs can maintain settings.
