Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

John Aura clash having a bunch of Kids in every sect, Teaching the art of Bullshido and plot armorforward, Having everyone on debt or in a contract with em, and just being THAT guy.
The moment John Auraclash learned about Writs of Favor and how to make Soulbinding Oaths is when the Rasen Empire knew that they're gonna have a problem in their hands. Sakura and Mao were just the beginning.

Yes. Since we're Kurokonton players I don't buy two techniques in the chapter 4: Double-Chant(Literally useless since we're playing with a build that requires high Hand-seals) & Fanding Hand(Well, I believe you're like me and get at least 1~2 Thievery in the chapter 1 to steal the whole Thunderfall's storage in the chapter 2 & Get the +1 Thievery technique from Guiren).
Now Ax Breaker & Eagle Eye are Top-Tier techniques, you can buy. Also the two Elemental techniques, although they don't increase yours skills, each one gives +15 AP at a cost of 110 Shards each, which is more efficient than Cycling(With 10 Soul Core you gain 26 AP per cycling, and in the chapter 4 assuming you already have 1,000+ AP the cost can pass the 300 Shards).
Besides in this occasion, I really don't refrain myself from buying techniques at all.

Note: There are three moments I Cycle: Chapter 3, the most obvious. Chapter 4(+50~60 Shards in the end of Chapter three if you've the underling. +360 Shards from Dou Nohai. +500 Shards from the Old Woman by saving the villagers and having high compassion). And chapter 6(+100 Scamming Guiren in Ebikowa. +150 by taking the people's valuables in Ebikowa. +150 By winning the bet against Master Suon. And the Free-roam in Harehama overall).

Chapters 7 & 8 I let to save money so far usually I end with 10.000+ Shards(Not considering my Junk-fleet) by the end of chapter 8.
Just had a taste of the build in Chapters 2 to 3, and I have to say.

I am now a firm believer of the Handseal + Soul Core agenda. Getting to 1k AP at just the first half of Chapter 4 got me tweakin, and it's on a Kiihakai run at that, not even a Kuro run.

Edit: Though now I gotta ask, like with Handseals capping at 80% around 7 slots. Does the boost in AP you get from Soul Cores have a cap as well?

It's amazing how every time I play I discover something new.

I didn't know about this Equalibrium thing.
Its been a thing since before the game got ported. In your screenshot your soul and fortitude cores were aligned at the same value. In mine it was soul and agility.I think just having your soul core rank aligned with these two stats for the godhand transformation triggers it since godhand basically gives +1 soul,+1 fortitude and +1 agility. Funny enough the first time I did it I achieved it on a whim and ever since then I prioritize having both at equal levels just for this scene. Since I'm assuming this is an Aoyusumu run you can get the plus 15 AP gain in the other option of taking Jack on in hand to hand if your compassion is greater than 65,but I always choose the cast a judgement option since Jack crashes out more in that route.

I was worried about how interesting the other books will be if you can't play John Auraclash, but with the whole jade dragon reincarnation thing makes me think that maybe you actually will be able to play John Auraclash still just in a new form
As far as I remember the plan is Book 1, Book 2 and Book 4 with John Auraclash as the playable character. Only Book 3 would be different with the protagonist being their grandchild or, in the case you remained single, Jin/Rin grandchild.

It's a bit early for that I think. But I wonder what are some of u guys wish lists for the possible endings of Aura Clash? In my case I would be happy with the option of just being pure power fantasy and 1x1 Mao and Make Thunderfall sect mine, and just be OP AF or die trying (but that's just me). Though I wonder how the author gonna deal with a possible ending in itself or the options he gonna give us.
Cute babies( hopefully boosted due to mc jdf).

Nah it covers many of the combat checks but it's almost better to atleast balance and get 2-3 good stats if not all atleast above something.

Definitely felt this at one point in my Kiihakai run. Might need to tone down the Soul Core focus.

Ah well, back to my "Totally not Kakashi" run.

Just got to the mentor picking part of the newest chapter, and man, it really is SUPER STACKED and kind of biased for Eldra, even if you're not JDF (though I picked JDF for this run).

The other two are just kind of meh and unimpressive, and definitely not that good compared to what she can give you, and even the Midorikatai stuff from Okada doesn't look great because you would already have beast taming if you chose trapper, plus the whole health regeneration thing is kind of useless.

Did you truly optimize everything though?

No cycling is needed to be done in chapter 2 tbh. Better to save up shards to buy stuff in chapter 3.

Imo it's best to get 2 Handseals through childhood. Then in chapter 3 train one day to increase by 1(this can't increase skills past 3)and use one skill book to reach 4. Now if you have all 4 direction seals you can get the Planetary technique to get +1 in handseals reaching 5.

Its also worth mentioning that the most optimal first action in chapter 3 is to hunt for soul treasure first as the AP gain from it will decrease each month. For this, counting the Handseals, I get 3 athletics and survival. I will let the amount of AP you gain from it be a surprise for those who don't know.

After that as many days as you want should be spend on earning funds(unless you also wanna train Jin/Kosuke/Rin). One thing to remember is every 2 months you get 1 chi back so be sure to make use of a hand seal to earn more shards. You have to keep atleast 4 months to keep the element option unlocked. Also remember to go to the library to get the buffer barrier and some AP(It's a max of 3 lore check, 1 can be gotten from earth element)

Of course you might have already done all this but I just wanted to put it out there just in case.

Btw you can get 70+ gold in chapter 4 from the old lady if you max out compassion.

Good, you're getting it. To give you at least a target with this build(I assume you're, like me, Merchant & Kurokonton too), 1,300+ AP in the chapter 3 and 1,600 AP in the end of chapter 4/encountering scholar Taio are possible numbers to reach with this build.

And no, there's no limit to the AP increase in cycling, by both sources, Hand-seals(Yes, if increases the AP gained too) and Soul Cores.

However, as the friend above said, the first thing you must do in the chapter 3 free-roam is to hunt beasts for Soul Treasures. The calculation of the AP gained by this is:
(Perception x 8 + Survival x 12 + Athletics x 8 + Insight x 8) X Number of months remaining/9.

So, in my runs for example, I have 1 Survival, Perception and 2 Insight. Then I go to the Caravan and use the factotum blessing in Athletics. Cast Western +1 Athletics and Northern +1 Survival. Equip the Weighted clothes and do it in the very first months:
(Perc/1 x 8 + Surv/2 x 12 + Athletics/2 x 8 + Insight/2 x 8) X 12/9 → (8 + 24 + 16 + 16) X 1,333... → 85 + (Weighted Clothes bonuses)
So usually I gain a whole 94 AP from this.

Other builds can gain more since Athletics will be their focuses, but still nearly 100 AP.

Didn't know it also scaled off perception and insight. I usually get a total of 120 AP from it.(1 Perception, 2 Insight, 3 Survival and 3 Athletics)

Does anyone know what different style advancements you get after the Daichi fight for each individual style. I know Aoyusumu get dharmic wheel since it's my default choice, but what do the others get?. I'm too lazy to do a fresh playthrough and I don't really know how to view the code on mobile.
Also for anyone who has done a cursed style playthrough what buffs does Malocchio give as a transformation. It's the only other one I'm curious about.

If I'm not mistaken it was used to scale with Alchemy too, so far these builds with high Alchemy were really OP doing this.
Anyway, the good part of that "Cycling Build" is how versatile it can be, you don't start with high Athletics but this can change after the Daichi Fight and entering in Nanhou.

The only thing I indeed acknowledge my build lacks, and this for personal choice, is AP gained per wound. Since I'm Kurokonton(Therefore not Midorikatai) and Lunargoth(Therefore not Monkey Yokai), only other two techniques of that aspect I would be able to use, one from the Fire element and the Endless Beating.
I could, since I indeed dump agility, but I prefer high Aura absorption: Kurokonton + Storm & Darkness.
Life Steal + Endless Beating + Dark Horizon + Energy Thief + Dual wielding = +2 Athletics(Therefore +4 By weighted clothes) and +26 AP absorbed from the enemy every fight.

Would be more efficient to have the two techniques and gain +6 AP for every wound? Yes, but I still don't like it at all.

Every other Style gain its own technique basically(Akakiru gain Infinite Edge, Kurokonton gain Afterimage, Kiihakai gain Dragon Fist...etc), the only difference is with Kurokonton, because Kurokonton gain the Technique and one Skill Point in perception.

Allows you to copy techniques(Like Jack's Wrathful Fist passively increasing the Style Mastery or the Lightbringer Summoning technique) and passively increasing the perception by 1. If you're asking about Cores/AP, it gives 2 Agility and 1 soul core while transformed if I'm not mistaken. Differently from other transformations, however, Malocchio doesn't increase the shown AP.

I read that someone used a Soul Treasure (specifically the Lightbringer's) to create a belt.

My question is: does this apply to all Soul Treasures? And are the items created with it worth it to compensate for the AP I won't receive?

Well one of the archons was tasked with a mission about the lightbringer so i assume to be the wild god parent.
The three that can train you were sent to ward off Gazhurra from attacking participants in transit. The lightbringer was involved in the fight per the Truegold Archon when he says "I would've killed the beast had I wanted to" when YOU kill it in Harehama.

As far as I can remember the only thing they mention up north is fighting some sorts of spiritual beings but the three Archons didn't have much issue with Gazhurra and her 6 kids so there'd have to be an ARMY of things as strong as wild gods up there to kill so many archons.
