Aura Clash: leaks, sneak peaks, memes and discussion thread.

I usually antagonize Guiren during the brawl lol. I guess I'm not seeing that thing

Btw, can someone run me back the requirements for the Asura and Titan transformations? I forgot
Even if you antagonise him during Chapter 4's Inn, just be dishonourable in Ch7 and you can do his companion quest that will unlock his friendship.

Be a Mido for those two.

So then your conclusion is that if in future updates that if we have any further training with Eldra - then she would become a worse mentor character?
Now that's a massive strawman lmao.

Saying that this specific recovery period benefits from being hands-off doesn’t mean she can never teach the MC anything active ever again.

It means that, contextually, her approach to relies on her overpowered foundation rather than the standard grind. The downtime makes sense for where the MC is right now. She can still teach high-level advanced techniques in future updates without losing her identity, but homogenizing her recovery methods to match Kaito or Zhang ruins her imo.
No I'm not. You could just have an option that rejects the epiphany or warps it to be more Ruthless. For example, the Ruthless/Evil MC has an epiphany about how loyal their family is and doubles down on just thinking them as tools to be used for them to get stronger - dismissing their loyalty as laziness and parasitism on their own strength.
You're completely missing the point of what makes good pacing. Not every single scene needs to be a dep dive or a grand character-defining moment. Sometimes, downtime is just well that...

If you are roleplaying a heavy-hitter, hyper-ambitious anti-hero, you don't necessarily want to pause the game to have a forced, melodramatic inner monologue about how your family are "parasites." A truly ruthless, pragmatic character wouldn't waste time ruminating on that while resting; they'd just take the free passive healing and move on. Adding a branching dialogue choice for every single "epiphany" just bloats ****.
Um. You're the one espousing the virtues of having a mentor that is more hands off and that there are methods of training that don't revolve around blood and pain.

This player wouldn't vibe with Eldra's current training as well. And would probably be agreeing with me? And again, you could just write an option for them to reject that epiphany. That would still be character development, it doesn't have to be a positive change or realization.
Why wouldn't they? A ruthless, power-focused player absolutely vibes with a mentor who offers the most efficient path to recovery possible. If you are trying to build an overwhelmingly powerful MC, having access to a foundation with pure "hax" that lets you bypass the standard blood, sweat, and tears of physical recovery is a massive win. It’s the ultimate flex even. An anti-hero player isn't going to complain that the healing was "too easy" even more so if they are an JDF, I really doubt it.
that's your opinion, then you must have found the majority of the IF boring then. So I'm not sure why you are here.
Appreciating that the author included  ONE non-traditional route to break up doesn't mean I hate the rest of the game. It means I appreciate differences The standard stereotypical cultivator shtick works great for Zhang and Kaito no complaints from me there...but having Eldra offer a completely different experience makes the world feel more varied, which is appreciated.

I don't know why you got so pressed at the end there Mr.strawman?

Kind of wild wanting the MC to see their family as a tool considering that one of the reasons they go down the cultivation path is to protect their family against the Crushers (let's not forget everyone at the trials roasting MC for having loving parents). IF's offer the option of your choices mattering in the story, but the author also is also constricted in way, offer too many choices and they will never finish the game. Offer little choice and your IF will look like a light novel. I think anon does great in balancing this, and if it will preserve the quality and the capacity of the author finishing the story, i very much prefer that some things are non-choosable and inavoidable in the game. You, of course, is allowed to dislike this, but it is kind of pointless go on with this endless rant 😭 just accept that some things you will not like, and enjoy what you do like in the game

I'm definitely going to regret participating in this discussion.

But my only complaint about Eldra is how unbalanced her training path is. I understand that, according to the story, she's the strongest master, but the simple fact that I didn't choose her means I lose a ship and some of my crew members; it's a tremendous injustice.

It's something that I will never understand too.

The MC's relationship with their family is one of the sweetest things on this game.

But I guess that there's people who dislike them or just want the demonic MC to completely break away from their old life, and that's fine I guess.

I agree with you on everything else

I feel it's pertinent to say that it doesn't seem like this is the case anymore?

I started a fresh run last night to do Zhao Yang's training (which, by the way, is hilarious, that guy is so ****ing funny) and finished it earlier today. When I got to the segment where Tenkairyu tries to kidnap you and Eldra steps in, I didn't get the "ships/retainers lost" message- and when I checked my stats to make sure, I still had the 8 ships I went into the chapter with.

Now, it could just be a case of "There are so many bugs in this chapter that some of them are starting to cancel each other out", but given this run had some other things that definitely weren't in before (JDF MCs now get an extra month of training in Thunderfall and an extra day before the Tiger Trial, for example), I think it's more likely Anon just updated the game and none of us could tell cuz we're all broke bitches (at least, I assume he has some patrons-only update log for the patrons-only chapter).

I agree. And considering this is a wip, anon does have the possibility of changing it. So let's hope he does. Just like you coudn't get the spirity fruit if the MC wasn't on the mido path, and now he did offer a option to get it even if the MC is not on that path.

Apparently, you can save the ship if you make a pact with Shakengara. I haven’t tried it myself, but that seems to be the case.
