How high has your highest status reached with this build?
With the new mechanics, mine is hitting +60k in strength, and this in normal mode. This shows that Nicky doesn't care much (if at all) about stats. With this strength, the MC could literally use pinches to decimate the Demon Execution Squad. It's possible that stats of this level are at the level of a weak EX.
This is one of the biggest problems this game has, in my opinion. What’s the point of balancing stats to give us an idea of how strong the MC is in the story if it’s just going to be completely ignored? I say this because it feels like so much effort is put into "balancing" this aspect, but for what purpose?
And if the stats are ignored, then how strong is the MC really? I honestly don’t know. Can they already compete with the Top 10, or are they still below that level, or what?
Maybe because we only play as MC and not as Ruo? If we were to play as Ruo we would think Wu heir is a MC

My honest opinion, I really believe that MC is in the top 10, at least on the level of Su Da or even Chu Muchen, of course, He Gang is stronger than he was so we can't say he's still top 9.
I say this considering the fight with the Demon Execution Squad, I estimate that to have a chance of beating them someone needs to be at top 3 level, maybe even top 1 like Yang Buddhist. Of course, I'm not talking about the "possessed" state that MC was in, nor that he was capable to beat all of them without said state, I'm referring to the fact that MC fought well and evolved in real time, forcing them to use those techniques, this while they had worked as a perfect team and were the efficient couter for the "dark side". Another indication of the MC's power is Liu Mogui's statement that it was impossible for him to fight more than two of them at the same time.

Idk how you reached that number, but I assume you cheated and combined a bunch of talents, perks and infusion.
The intended for normal is around 15-25k~ in your main stats I think. But you're right that it doesn't matter if you go overboard. Niki doesn't reward going overboard in stats for some reason.
True my health was perfect and I had a lot of qi left and still relied on devil breakout to beat the execution squad? Most bs moment in the game. Now saint mcs can explode to win their 6 v 1 fight, I guess demon mcs are the real frauds now
Surprisingly, no, I didn't cheat with the console, if that's what you mean. I don't know if it was an error in the code or something, but it certainly wasn't my hand.
You see, I'm going to quote what I did. My MC has the infusion talent and the void and overloaded perks. I first maximized str and agi, then the MC had the dream and his limits went up to 15k. I maximized str again. Then I bought all the str rings. I took He Mei's pill, the base stats went to 24k. Then I got the tattoo that increases the stats, they went up to 32k. With the 5k rings, str reaches 37k. With the infusion activated (+80%), it shoots up to 66.6k.

Apart from new events, there are lot of mechanics changes for those of you who don't play story mode - new items, tattoos, rebalances and more.
FYI: unless you know what you're doing, I do not recommend playing on mortal. New fights are very, very difficult, even with all the buffs/rebalances I did during the beta testing.

I don't think this pill showed up on my demonic save. Interesting, but will probably get hit with nerts in the future once niki notices.

That fight costs so much qi, it's ridiculous. Went into it with around 60 qi and finished with 27 because niki kept hitting me with -1 qi for existing or smt.

Yeah the qi loss was ridiculous in that fight, it's almost like even breathing cost qi in that fight. I'm going to use the pellets on the execution squad next time I play, I'm not wasting qi just to get a stupid win, I was completely fine why the hell did I die and crashout? The end of that fight is the only thing I didn't like about the update
