Well, I didn’t really analyze that scene much, or at least it didn’t stand out to me since I passed the stat checks. I just saw that he tried to steal our Qi, but again, the MC does something similar, so I didn’t think it was anything special. The only difference is that the MC has to eliminate opponents to transform inner energy into Qi or use artifacts, so I didn’t find anything strange in the scene you mentioned.

The MC doesn’t generate Qi on their own either, so it’s not that strange that He Gang can’t do it either. Having arts like that doesn’t seem so unusual to me.

The disappearance could be explained by the same thing that happened to the MC. They ended up in a coma for about 2 and a half years or so after obtaining a new cultivator body, so nothing seems strange to me up to that point.

idk but the way the text talked about He gang devouring our daitan and how the red said he looked “gleefully happy” or something like that when he took our qi really got me thinking he’s not a real cultivator. It makes him sound kind of like an addict and it sounds like he doesn’t have a large amount of qi at his disposal. And that part where he talked about his qi stealing arts not working on his “senior” why wouldn’t it work on him? I really think my theory is correct

It took 100k perception to dodge it in the beta link I used half asura transfo until I hit 100k stats lmao took all of my qi

Was it Perception? I could’ve sworn it was Agility since the MC had lost their mind, and when HG froze them, the MC regained their senses and dodged the attack.

I just went through the scene you mentioned, and I think I know why I thought it was Agility. In fact, there are 3 stat checks, but I played it in the normal version, not the beta, so the stat checks were around 10k-11k, which is why I didn’t fail them.

From what Mei told us, HG likely won’t be someone we can eliminate in the first book unless you’re on the DQ route, probably, since you’ll need some serious backing to deal with the consequences.

I just played the update and I think I'm right on he gang not being a real cultivator. Him using that qi stealing art proves it. I think he's some type of half cultivator who is still restricted to using martial arts using qi instead of inner energy

He Gang provoked MC to attack first because that way, all the blame will fall onto MC when the Enforcer come, the bastard took my 50k that way
The Art surely has a condition, stealing qi with just a touch is too OP, not to mention that there are other skills He Gang hasn't revealed yet
