Nah the devil made MC kill a lot of people at Doctor after learning about Ai and tried to kill the Xintian . The devil is definitely evil in all paths and wanted to control MC.

He will kill people if you let him and will try to kill that Xintain if you let him too, and I noticed that he doesn't try to change our perception in the Ai path which shows he isn't trying to find a way to get us more angry and making us fall to madness

And the demon in other paths always fight against you for control, I even spent 20 qi to vanish it temporarily but in the Ai path once you tell him to leave it leaves

So which path is best currently demon or saint??

Saint makes you basically immortal as long as you have qi and 100% righteous, if you ever fall below 90% righteous you lose the blessing permanently.

Demon has a lot of power but it comes at the cost of having an aggressive devil trying to take over by any means possible.

Your call tbh. I think both are kinda cool but restrictive.

I mean the devil still enraged the MC and made him go on a killing spree that still makes him evil and controlling, it just changed his methods. And you can play Ai route as evil or saint MC and the route has no difference so I think it's the same devil he is just using different manipulation.

Aren’t you guy’s arguing same point? Mei even explained it? It’s just using different methods? Also you can romance Ai as evil now? Whenever I used to she would call me out saying she heard about what I did or something and then threaten me after the coma.

So I killed Mo long other wise I was a saint Mc overall. YB asked me to be his student before the whole expedition and I romanced Ai after the company but I became evil after slaughtering the town for YB which turns your demonic stat to 100.

Guess that was a overlook and loophole, because if your demonic stat is at a certain number during the expedition, it cuts the route off and she calls you out.

Yeah you can also just start doing evil **** after the initial talk and slowly build up to the evil route. Like slaughtering the revolt town and torturing their leader, beating up kindle and a lot of moments in this battle.
Pretty sure I had 75 demonic in my previous Ai playthrough where I was focusing on void arts at start of the tournament. You can probably hit 90 if not 100

But I will say there should be difference in devils, because when I go into my stat and it says neutral and I’m leaning 57 % demonic even at times during tourney I went 53% saint with certain choices. I should not be on the same level as these YB demons. Actually I think after I chose the devil in the tourney my alignment stats were 50/50.

See even when I make a play through and romance her, I like to create MCs that are a certain way that would just break my immersion because makes no sense Ai would be okay with all of that. Especially since she would most likely be on the side of the revolt, just would not fit my play style of that MC. That is just me though, unless I chose to Roleplay as a MC that started good and slowly is coming to the realization that this is needed.

you need kindness > 35 for AI to not think you are evil

As someone who is in the side of good but not a saint i think both are not ideal, you get influenced/saved by tw devil or by goddess i prefer to explode with qi to prevent the humiliation.

I'd agree, if the cost wasn't 20 Qi, even Martial Sovereign doesn't reduce the cost. Speaking of which, why does Martial Sovereign sometimes not work? Is it the author's mistake or is it on purpose?

It's only for Void/Elemental/Body dao stuff. Everything else has the normal cost.

Its on purpose to make you lose qi, i think only in this tournament i lost more than 10 qi involuntarily because It was scripted, niki can put qi scenes without making you actually spend it as seen on the forced first arena fight after waking from the coma or when showing It to han.

Martial sovereign its literally only for martial stuff, there is times where it can diminish the cost without relating to dao but its mostly on martial demonstrations or fights, anything else its off limits which sucks because many scenes would benefit of it, expelling the luck tattoo on that arena fight being one.

Don't know if he is the same as the demon path mc, he seemed helpful, didn't hurt mc and didn't try to fight back when we refused him, he even ASKED to mc let him fight.

Considering that I tested the path where the MC has a Devil Break while being at 100% Saint, and he still tries to kill Mei—wasting all that Qi—I’d say that what changes the Devil’s perspective is more about the reason you lost control in the first place, rather than whether you're a Demon or a Saint.

Also, I was wondering why the Void form doesn’t increase Dao in the Saint path but does in the Demon path. That doesn’t make sense.

it seems more humiliating to waste 20 Qi on an explosion and not kill a single one. Well, at least I don’t think we killed anyone, considering we didn’t get any Qi or refinement points. I’d rather take the Goddess’s blessing than waste Qi for nothing.

Thats personal stuff, i like to play more of a wu heir who takes pride in being his own person and would rather lose/die than give in to tang wei or any other god.

Thats one of the reasons i liked this update, i all alone after having killed both liu mogui and shadow guy, was being jumped by several peak houtians with Tang wei devil hating on me calling me pathetic loser, saying that i would die for refusing him and i went and proved the ************ wrong by defeating everyone with elemental form.

Still wanted niki to lower the cost of exploding with qi but oh well beggars cant be choosers.

Same my Wu heir is too prideful to take help, yes wasting 20 Qi multiple times but it is what it is

I did the same even when I have asura. Asura doesn't have the same feels like void or elemental.
