Imo if Niki wishes, this could be a perfect start point for the final arc of Book 1. Disagree as you will but i think Niki did a good job setting up hints of Rogue influence throughout the story for a potential war.

I sure hope so, cause rn all we have are warnings and foreshadowing. But tbh with all the bonuses and power-ups Niki has been handing out, and the fact that he's rewriting the POVs AND raising the cap for checks, it very much could be true.

Nicky, probably. Well, through Q/As and the book itself Ruo already let clear she doesn't plan to change her faction for nothing.
Speaking serious now, Yichen still having his Dao-Relic to show and possess the TW's droplet, and based on what Nicky said; Yan will receive a huge nerf too due to PoMA Qi-less nature.

I don't even think it should be disregarded (the Chao check) tbh, because in the code it's literally just a normal stat check. No bonuses, no formulas, just a straight up raw stat check. So maybe Niki is now raising the cap for what he considers possible, even if it is for a one off emotional moment.

For me seems much out of hand such a sudden 150 double check(Considering our highest Check before this is a 116 CON to survive a E-X injuring Art, and even surviving it we still nearly being knocked out), even more because it needs to be in base since there's no Combat-menu's in the interaction and also Chao says nothing about this later. Like, what the hell, Wu Heir is supposed to be a strong P-H in his mind(Doesn't knows about Qi) and simply overpower his spell and shows E-X level of combat power.
I hope Nicky change it in the future, both adding a combat menu in this interaction because it's just straight up impossible in mortal and also more acknowledged from Chao.
