Like, what the hell, Wu Heir is supposed to be a strong P-H in his mind(Doesn't knows about Qi) and simply overpower his spell and shows E-X level of combat power.
I hope Nicky change it in the future, both adding a combat menu in this interaction because it's just straight up impossible in mortal and also more acknowledged from Chao.

I mean, neither DW or LB said we lacked ambition/will as a whole. They compared us with TW and let's be honest, there's no way to compare our(Or any knowledge character) will with Wei's. At fourteen he saw his mother dying and his sister being kidnapped while he was hiding like a rat. After this, training under a psychopath that forbidden him to search about his family(So very likely in his mind his sister was being abused all this time) to in the end be betrayed and seeing his wife bearing his child sacrificing her life(And, therefore, the kid) to allow he continue alive.
