What I found to be most interesting in this update was actually the First mini-fight.

Like bro 90+ checks to just not get destroyed and only slightly injure/inconvenience him, and even the Tri-Dao option only makes him consider fighting you seriously. And that's after he gets pummeled by Ruo and Top 1 in the Arena at the same time.

Him fighting Ruo and Tang Bo at the same time when they're going 80-90% of their full power or even more as Ruo told Bo not to hold back is ****ing insane. And even them together only make him kinda winded and slightly injured.

Yang Gan

is on a completely different level, and he's a Body Refiner. Yeah fighting the spear twins together, winning either right away or fighting them until they ult and then decimating Chu Muchen is still the top feat in my book, but damn I wonder who will get to fight First 1v1, Ruo or us?

Cause right now for all of Ruo's bullshit, even he would struggle immensely one on one with him, and that's without the psychological component.


Edit: Also what the **** is wrong with He Gang? He just saw the MC decimate the strongest pairing of Houtians at the same time, and then destroy and potentially humiliate the top 4 right after and he just goes: "Hmm yeah I can take him easy yeah."

He also has his transformation too the lizard one I think the other form he used is different i guess?(I don't even remember Ruo using a form I forgot about it was more focused on mc doing damage with all different options)Or is it the same form the mc does say neither him and the tangs were going all out.Also if I remember correctly the Asura mc was overpowering First so tri dao and Asura to me looked above him.
Also people in poma get their body cooked and broken too easily multiple times in a fight so I don't even think of it as much at this point it isn't like Aura clash where as long as your Aura isn't shattered you don't get your body cooked that badly like in poma martial artists might as well be made of butter with great regeneration

Too exaggerated in my opinion. Using A Will Eternal as an example, the protagonist, who had the most powerful body and regeneration in the entire novel, only became capable of regenerating from a drop of blood when he reached an extremely high level.

For me, it's a major flaw in POMA, especially when Nicky always claims to be trying not to turn POMA into a power fantasy.

Now that would be a neat way to add nuance to MC-Ruo rivalry without downplaying one another. But we know almost nothing about the second.

Tbf its not that everyone is unkillable you just encounter nepo babies with life saving artifacts,high constitution or arts, they still die from the things mentioned above without these easily and lc can only rev from a drop of blood at shangtian lvl

LC could already regenerate from blood, eves as a Houtian, unfortunately this was confirmed by the author. And yes, I don't deny that most of it is the fault of the life-saving treasures, but (with the exception of the brain explosion) there are examples of Houtians surviving everything mentioned even without the treasures.

Most likely will be the victim of the Worf effect yes, that's what I think too.
Tho given he's also training for the Tournament,as seen when buying drugs from Mei,who knows.

Power scaling in the Nikiverse is also much higher than most Xianxia

In my opinion, instantly regenerating a lost arm is decent enough, but compared to someone like, say, Majin Buu, it's no big deal.

But to be honest, my main point isn't even about regeneration, it's about the Houtian's survivability as well as their ability to take absurd damage and still be able to fight. Like, “How can you still fight for a long time if your lungs have exploded? Even if you're much stronger, your body still needs oxygen, and in fact, considering how much you're moving and exerting yourself in the fight, you must be using even more oxygen...” or “How can you even move if your muscles have literally liquefied??”

I know that Inner Energy justifies all this, but I dunno, I just think it should be reserved for levels higher than the mere first level. I mean, what will be left for the higher levels?

Given the level of bullshittery xianxia can rise to,I'm not too wary about higher levels.
Xiantan still have their regen-hampering aura effect like LC used or Ruo's aunt with Caihong,so powercreep won't be a problem in a verse that is already stupidly OP from the getgo.
Not even mentionning Cultivators stages which at some point involves Soul and other xianxia stuff.
The scale might be offputting which is fully understandable but it'll prolly get even crazier.

You get it way later from that event. After the first stage of the tournament, Xiwen would come to you and says that LB has summoned you. That's when you'll get the chance to unlock Tri-Dao. When she asks you who you think is the most beautiful, make sure not to answer 'my mother' (she gets huffy and only teach you to deepen your understanding of your current Dao) or TW's dead wife (she'll kill you).

That and it also loses all meaning poma martial artists break every sequence like every damn sequence something completely gets cooked lmaoo all of them are made of butter with crazy regen I guess and those who aren't just saty standing by will lol.If everyone breaks all the time then really it has no meaning.
