You get it way later from that event. After the first stage of the tournament, Xiwen would come to you and says that LB has summoned you. That's when you'll get the chance to unlock Tri-Dao. When she asks you who you think is the most beautiful, make sure not to answer 'my mother' (she gets huffy and only teach you to deepen your understanding of your current Dao) or TW's dead wife (she'll kill you).

For me, this is one of the big problems with POMA: the characters become "unkillable" too quickly and easily. Like, Houtian is the most basic and weakest level, but even these guys can survive decapitations, brain explosions, being cut in half, not to mention LC, who could be reduced to a drop of blood and come back.

Too exaggerated in my opinion. Using A Will Eternal as an example, the protagonist, who had the most powerful body and regeneration in the entire novel, only became capable of regenerating from a drop of blood when he reached an extremely high level.

For me, it's a major flaw in POMA, especially when Nicky always claims to be trying not to turn POMA into a power fantasy.

That and it also loses all meaning poma martial artists break every sequence like every damn sequence something completely gets cooked lmaoo all of them are made of butter with crazy regen I guess and those who aren't just saty standing by will lol.If everyone breaks all the time then really it has no meaning.

This is kind of contradictory from him niki himself said when mc compared to genius in stronger worlds in the same power realm gets cooked by them because mc had to progress in this shitty World.So mc will not be able to fight against them.Butterfly is an immortal lord I think?which isn't immortal emperor but still pretty high up in the ranks she will likely achieve immortal emperor too in time. Taking that into account she has to be talented enough to reach even the immortal stage a bum isn't getting there so imo the Core formation avatar is so bad because of the dogshite materials in the poma world. An avatar made from better material but still in CF would likely be much stronger just like genius from stronger worlds will be way ahead of the mc according to niki.So I think it's the dogshite World mc is still Tang wei so he is way better but someone like butterfly Avatar is purely made from those trash materials like she said.

The dog walk thing is entirely your own words. She also can only barely make her avatar CF level while CF mc would be full CF

In my opinion, instantly regenerating a lost arm is decent enough, but compared to someone like, say, Majin Buu, it's no big deal.

But to be honest, my main point isn't even about regeneration, it's about the Houtian's survivability as well as their ability to take absurd damage and still be able to fight. Like, “How can you still fight for a long time if your lungs have exploded? Even if you're much stronger, your body still needs oxygen, and in fact, considering how much you're moving and exerting yourself in the fight, you must be using even more oxygen...” or “How can you even move if your muscles have literally liquefied??”

I know that Inner Energy justifies all this, but I dunno, I just think it should be reserved for levels higher than the mere first level. I mean, what will be left for the higher levels?

I mean, there are few mentions that poma MA's are physically unique and stronger compared to the rest of the cultivators. Idk if Niki planned to incorporate what you said into this but he can easily retcon the insane durability and healing feats saying its cuz of TW blood (It worked in Naruto although it became boring after a while) . At the same time, it could just be Niki overnarrating in order to bring tension to fights. But i agree to a degree. Niki could tone down the injuries and unneccesary gore a bit, makes the fights more relatable.

the scale in this setting is very big for example you don't see many cases in Xianxia of destroying a literal star and turning it into a blackhole like TW did or eternal life being as easy as it is so "relatable" is not the point and the answer to "what will be left for the higher levels?" is an insane amount left

60 base stats, plus rings and Yue Fang's body refining technique could get your agility and strength the the seventies.

Then just use infusion or power bracelet when you need it, but if you mean 60 is the absolute max you have... I'm not gonna lie you are cooked if you don't have any power bracelet charges left. Make sure to not prolong the fight with the twins and just decapitate Su De when you get the option.

yue fang's body refining is not an option for me since you have to side with him for that. same for tri-dao being available to MC who sides with LB, which is a bummer.

and yes 60 was the absolute max i managed to have. is that normal for a mortal playthrough without meddling with stats in the console or am i just bad at managing stat lol?

Why couldn't you side with him?

Well, you can still beat the fight if you ask For He Gangs help, and Muchen can be dealt with using the powder Hua Fang offers you. Although you'll end up losing out on a lot of exp making you weaker in the long run.

60 base stats(without rings or other stuff that improves it) is pretty good for mortal difficulty, but it being your absolute maximum even with rings is a problem.

What's your DAO level? If you're going for a wizard run now that Nicky has finally lowered the insane ****ing Qi costs you could still do pretty well.

0.30 is finally out. This is a massive update, both in terms of size and the amount of changes.
Old saves won't work!
Word Count: + ~100k words. Total now is 997k (almost at a million...)
Story Progress:

Preparation for 3v3, which includes power-ups, lore reveals, and more.

Entire 3v3 (without post-reactions for now). Includes fights with both twins, one twin, Chu Muchen, variations depending on He Gang, Yuan Fang and other factors. These fights are absolutely massive word count wise, though a lot of it is in different branches, failed checks and so on, so it may feel shorter.
Reworks:

Crits. A lot of crits, for every attribute, in practically every post-expo fight. High enough CON now can tank practically everything in the game, High AGI can dodge, High STR can one-shot.

Progress after post expo now revolves around Body Refining and Qi Cultivation. More on this is explained in-game.

Reworked all attributes, XP gain, Health, pills, items and so on. Perks and other bloat has been removed.

A lot of other things that you'll see in-game.
I (and my beloved beta testers) did our best to find/fix every bug we could, but considering the scale and mechanical changes of the update, it's inevitable that some have remained. If you find something, comment here or better post it in the bug channel on discord. I'll be actively fixing all the bugs over the next few days.
BTW, do let me know how you found the style of the Chu Muchen's fight (you'll understand what I mean when you play it). Did you like it? Not like it? Neutral?
POVS have not been updated to keep up with the crit changes yet. Will happen next update.

I completely agree with that tbh, we can clearly see in the game that despite being equal to Ruo and literally being an incarnation of Tang Wei, we still have to rest (from the one mission where you protect that one couple after you wake up) and shake our drowsiness off, it's likely that Niki wrote our opponents surviving ridiculous lethal hits because nothing would realistically be a challenge to the MC if they couldn't and it would make the game a power fantasy, which he isn't willing to do (and also shows off in his writing from how helpless you feel throughout most of the game tbh)

Also, sidenote, but the MC is refered to as "opponent" in the protected save txt file, I wonder if that's going to be important later or if Shen Long Mu is going to be directly related to MC somehow?

CF MC would likely dogwalk the entire planet since Wei himself says that anyone attempting to fight you at that point is utterly hopeless

Am i the only one who gets annoyed when reading things like the this? When Ruo does his celestial form, Niki writes it so that MC wants to submit and revere him but the GS objects and fills our mind with defiance. Again with the First when MC gets anxious and nervous when intervening. The latter is understandable since he did beat the top 2 PH's in the sect with relative ease although he suffered injuries as well. I think stuff like this happens quite a bit throughout the game where Niki just decides the MC is scared or nervous or not confident.

You're not the only one, Ruo is the asspull merchant in POMA and the game practically screams it in your ear, the whole dragon thing, the celestial form, the blade thing etc etc, it's genuinely so lame since there's literally no actual real character or human aspects to them or any interesting writing whatsoever so it just feels like it's dragging the player down, this is made even more blatant in the Patreon Q&As with their 0 personality edgy responses, I can guarantee that when we get the golden ocean and our core formation Ruo will manage a whole ****ing buttdrag and surpass us again somehow, what with the heaven angel child or whatever the **** is going with them, I wouldn't be too surprised if they're supposed to be a self insert or whatever.
