Hello I have max Mortal Charisma and the Beauty perk, but every time I talk with the Prince and choose the third option — “Am I so beautiful that the Prince has lost his tongue?” — I still get the “Scram” response.

Is this a bug, or should I restart my playthrough? I’m just worried there might be some stat miscalculation that could cause problems later on.

Not a bug, it was changed to be accurate to Ruo's persona which doesn't care about beauty.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm so it's staying in wip forever get that patreon 🤑 💰

Really though would you even read this much considering I like to finish a book in one go without break I would be dead with no food or water or my eyes would be fried.

Do you think author should specify single play through word count and total word count for transparency I was been several times disappointed when book said 1 million 500 k words but it felt short

Hey! So how about we all share our theories (anyone and anything) regarding the story up until now?

I'll start. I think it might be Yuan Fang who tried to set up the match of the tourney. From what I've seen, it makes sense for him to put himself in the same team as He Gang and then, at the most opportune moment, throw in the detonation Dao.

Also, what do all of you think of each of the factions? Omniscient Sage, Lady Butterfly, Yue Fang's "Moon Goddess", the Imperials, and even the Omniscient Sage?
My current theories:

-I think Yuan Fang is an avatar planted by Mei Mei, one that still has Yuan Fangs personality but just like "First" can be taken control over by her, she is the only person who we know that supplies exploding pellets, and everything indicates these zombies are created by the rogues who we know have a relationship with the He Clan ( He Gang being able to use Qi). Also she sees both her brother and Wu heir as enemies so killing them both with a pawn makes sense.

- Based on the description Tang Wei gives of the MCs grandfather, I think the Omniscient Sage is the MCs grandfather's Alternate Identity that allows him to interact with others.

Thats a really nice theory. Explains the revenge, the alchemical bomb, his greediness, also the fact of Yuan Fang uncharacteristically taking pills to advance and claiming to have damaged his body. But Yuan Fang still exists even if Mei dies to the devil. Maybe she 'reawakens' in Yuan Fang's body? Like in Fallen Hero lmao.

Its not impossible..... Take the situation with First, Yuan Fang and supposedly Ai according to LB. At the very least reanimation possibly resurrection under specific circumstances is within the knowledge range of the rogues and by extension He Mei

But doesn’t the same thing happen even when you’re on Mei’s route? I don’t see why she would see Wu Heir as an enemy, especially when she’s literally been investing in him — at least that’s how it is in my route.
Though I’ve never played a route where Mei is an enemy, so I have no idea if it’s different in that one. Can someone confirm?

Basically yuan fang always was a dude who was being controlled by someone else since the first time we met him or atleast it has been for sometime and now that person is taking He gang's body who he has beef with.
The body snatcher being a Cultivator isn't in known for now and he is the new Femmc ro and he will take over He gang so I think y'all get it the rumour about he gang becoming ro was because of this body snatcher becoming a ro and taking He gang's body.

This comment I made isn't a theory it is practically confirmed. The part about he gang getting cooked and also the dude being a ro i even know this name but that is something still not in stone and niki can retcon his name so I didn't want to give something that can be changed but might as well share his name is supposed to be Shengjue niki has talked about it on premium chat but knowing niki and his track record for Ros one can never be sure.

You must remember He Mei works on a risk/benefit type mindset. If she believes an outcome is more beneficial down the line she is perfectly capable of blowing you up alongside He Gang even if you are on good terms. The paste incident was done to gain control over you, and the chain scene was because she was scared of you and the only way to get out of that wasn't by appealing to her feelings but to her immediate needs namely protection through martial strength. She has no problem betraying allies if she believes she can get away with it either by hiding her involvement or succeeding in a manner that the other party is incapable of retaliating against her.

Her thoughts have never been based on love and trust. Quite frankly I don't think she is capable of it.

With that said it has been speculated that Yuan Fangs zombie constitution was a result of He Clan/rouge experimentation so it would make sense that even he hates He Gangs guts. I think in this instance it was a case of point and shoot, He Mei provided the explosives and induced the plan into Yuan Fangs mind which was easy and only because of her link to Yuan Fang was he seen making a murderous expression in the event the explosion was thwarted .

As for why she would risk it even if you are on good terms with her as opposed to a story like mine where you have meddled continuosly and made an enemy of her.
It has been confirmed He Mei does not have the support of her clan and in fact she hates her clan. I think her brother is a threat to her position within the clan and to her very life, and she doesn't want to take chances with him being alive especially since he would be in a better position to threaten and harm her once his standing within both Jiangu and the clan has improved. This being the result of placing highly in the tournament. And because both him and you have the opportunity to grow stronger from all the combat this could end up making you both more unpredictable as variables which she may prefer to nip in the bud.

I’m guessing you haven’t played Mei’s route, because what you’re saying about how she sees the MC doesn’t make any sense if you’re on that route — for one simple reason: she’s literally experimenting on you. She needs you if she wants to become a cultivator. So honestly, I don’t think it’s her — and if it really is, then her goal definitely isn’t to kill the MC at that point.
If she had wanted the MC dead in her route, she could’ve easily done it in other ways. So, as you said, she operates on a risk/benefit basis — but losing the MC just to kill her brother, after putting up with him for so long, would be stupid for her future plans while you’re on her route.

I mean, in her route you can literally let her open you up and experiment on your body to study a cultivator’s physique so she can try to replicate the process later on. She even says she needs to do it several more times, so wanting to kill the MC just because of the risk he might pose—when she’s already clearly accepted that risk beforehand for the benefit she can gain—makes no sense at all. Especially when she could’ve killed the MC much more easily while experimenting on him and kept his body. So no, it’s not her—Unless the scene where Yuan Fang explodes is different in the route where you’re Mei’s enemy compared to when you’re her ally — that’s why I asked if someone can confirm.
