Does anyone know why Niki even listens to those in the discord? I understand they pay for his work but I don't see big IF authors doing what he does. He should entertain them in a mild manner if you ask me. At this point, it seems they are dictating his work. Why would you even reveal plot points to the readers? He doesn't need approval. He's Good enough as it is. People are gonna pay for his work anyway and he needs to realize this.

I don’t want to say this, because I’ve been very critical only because I used to die hard love Poma. Honestly not to continue being negative because Niki is a great author…. I think he just did not really plan Poma clearly. The one point he had planned was how it was going to end, hence he once said he gets ideas and changes the story. They probably suggest things he thinks is a good idea then he implements them. It’s not bad per se, it’s good to have a vague outline of the story when you’re writing and filling it in. Seemed he didn’t plan story arcs clearly since he’s changing ROs towards end of book 1, and it’s becoming convoluted.

It's not too late tbh. He can still take a break, sketch out the skeletons, ROs, which part of the skeleton will branch and which is linear. He needs to put a structure. I honestly don't care about gameplay when compared to the story. I'd rather there be no gameplay if it meant Niki would focus full time on the story. Just make MCs progression peak of whatever stat system hes using. Give success flavour texts for different abilities instead of failures. It's not like the best IFs out there had or has big blown out stat and combat system.

That’s what I tried to tell my friend lol, you don’t need this crazy combat system. Sadly the biggest IF is Wayhaven is it still the biggest IF? And biggest Wip I guess is infamous rn? Is all about the stories and characters, not combat system.

Poma most iconic character is probably Mei, who is loved and hated which is a good character to bring out emotions even negative one’s to someone. The thing is unfortunately ROs is the main selling point of IFs, and the early options are usually the popular and most chosen.

That’s why you see in stories the first female character saved is usually the main heroine, or first introduced . The earlier introduced the more attached people are to them and sadly Mei, Tigress (lol), Ai have years on them. Doesn’t really matter for female Wu Heirs they got nothing so they deserve the new ROs.

If I’m Niki I’m going back and finally building all the Wip stuff and placeholders. It’s 3 paths Rogues, Imperial and Neutral. They should all be even with content idc in my opinion if you give the choice should be even content.

Him favoring Mei, Rogue path is unfair because I was given other options. I expect fair content. That’s where the structure needs to start.

Regardless of the paths, there are simply no incentives and motivations for MC on the empire path. At times i read poma and I feel like it's peak fiction. And other times i read poma and I remember cc Hill's writing. All flavour and no substance.

I haven’t played that path in like a year, since it was first introduced, and Yichen offered one Qi Stone lol. I reloaded and never trie that path again while laughing. Is it still the same?
 
JDF is an ancient dragons that can continue to reincarnate as long as they want until they ascend, they are also of higher hierarchy than White tiger and othe auspicious animal. For Chaos origin physique it's basically the most OP physique of the POMA world you reach Godhood the fastest and you are also the enemy of heaven itself, you comprehend dao much better than the other too.

Different worlds tbh Ascended in AC are Immortal from the start from the point they ascend so they don't have to cultivate for so long like normal xianxia they become immortals as soon as they ascend and after that they don't even need chi to grow.I asked anon about it and he told us about Ascendent's core is like an eternal star one that never stops growing and shinning brighter and will not die out.
It also means an Ascendent grows stronger without training and for example if they would theoretically get stuck in a chi less world it wouldn't matter to them as they make their own chi now.To add to this he described training does make things quicker for example an Ascendent training for 50k years straight will get power he would eventually get in 300k years but that is the thing it's hard to be motivated because AC world heaven is a good place and Ascendent's aren't evil(plenty are neutral but top brass is good )plus they don't need to hound for chi so usually only top tiers keep training or young Ascended who want to reach the top.The strongest Ascended has a few comparatively young people(few million years old) in the group of billion plus year old Ascendent's and the strongest one of them take care of countless galaxies like a new ascended takes care of a single planet.So as your Power grows you take care of bigger things.
So power wise it is pretty similar to poma with god tier beings around the same stuff the only difference is the AC Immortals never have to worry about Chi.As for how JDF would scale there that mc will still be the most talented people along with other JDFs so yeah potential wise JDF is the top in AC World but there are plenty of ascended who are 10/10 talents and have been Cultivating for billion of years
Also the normal xianxia world Immortals are more closer to demonic style Cultivators as they still need chi for their hells as they grow strong it is why ascended guard planets along with also taking care of seasons there.
So yeah an Ascended is like a young deity pretty much and JDFs will still be ones to grow fastest
