Damn. How long ago did she start the IF? I believe its been over 3 years? You'd expect a branching IF to be done in about 4 years or more based on the content. Regarding kids, i dont really care tbh. I want to see how the story branches. How the routes play out, whether we can take the throne without bloodshed and all that.
The IF started on April 27 2021 I'm pretty sure, at least that’s when she first posted about Camelot on her tumblr. Though considering how much she probably spent drafting, I think it’s been in the works since late(?) 2020

Book 1 this book 1 that, so annoying. I’ll never forget that F Saga book that once it started getting interested it ended. There was unsupervised that ended abruptly. You know Wayhaven does it the best even if I’m not the biggest fan they realize you’re supposed to finish arcs and not just stop in middle of a conversation right? A series are supposed to complement each other, they just want cliffhangers. They’re basically purposely cutting stories into 3 books and not planning 3 books out. The one that got me the most upset I won’t name it because it’s a fan favorite, let’s just say I felt like I was just walking, then once it was getting to the interesting part who knows end of book 1 ffs.

On that note, I'm surprised we don't have more mythology based books. Like, Bastard of Camelot is the only Arthurian legend book I know of. The only Greek mythology IF I can think of is that one where you're basically Persephone and have to marry Hades, also Champion of the Gods, though that one isn't really Greek mythos. Oh and Zeus' Dilemma, but that IF is dead. As for Norse mythology, I can only think of one IF, which also seems dead. I was hoping there would be a lot more, especially considering Greek mythology is probably the most famous fictional media of all time.

Yep, it’s Golden Rose, I bet. I feel the same way. Book One had almost nothing of real substance, and just when the plot finally started moving forward, the book ended... I still liked it, though
Yeah. I love that whenever there's a chance for MC to respond and I happen to have a certain response in mind, something very similar to that is already in the choices. Anathema is really good at fleshing out characters and the MC in particular. One of my fav MC's in IFs.

I actually liked it, I’ll just never forget the long walk we had the most descriptive walk ever and it just dragged on and on I even started skimming pages
Yeah, she was too descriptive in the first book. I think she kinda hammered it down in the second book demo which is so good, since the plot actually moves forward at a good pace. My main is the corruption route, my MC doesnt give af and will kill any and all who wrongs them. Hope we can kill Neia lmao. I hate that *****. She's one of the reason Mom's dead.

There’s that book where MC is Ares recently talked about here, idk also if we are going to be kids of gods, they need to stop holding out and give us the big 3 as option of parents. Think there’s another one that’s abandoned I forgot the name, your mom died and you discover a magic world? I think it was a bunch of mythos but I remember Hera was one of them that watched you as a baby or something? MC dad was not said, but mom was renounced in that world for her technology or something?

Oh, that game with the author’s self insert being OP, right? If it were a mythology book I’d prefer if we one of the god ourselves, or an OC closely related to an existing god, like Kratos from GOW, who was inspired by the actual god of strength Cratus. Or it could be a total OC, I don’t really care. But you’re right about them holding back. I remember in Zeus’ Dilemma you could choose to be a child of a god… yet none of the Big 3 (Hades, Poseidon, and Zeus)

Me when I have to settle for Priapus or some random god of a random concept instead of the 3 cool ones: 😔

A gnawing doubt lies in my mind… In Bastard of Camelot, you can romance Elaine while she’s about to marry Gareth. Does that make the MC the cuck, since she’ll marry Gareth and MC liked has the option to have liked her first? Or is Gareth the cuck because MC kissed her first and will probably sleep with her after she’s married?

Isn't the married man who's getting cheated on supposed to be the cuck? Didn't play BoC but I can't tell how MC would be the cuck in that scenario

Isn't Gareth aroace or something? Not really "cucking" if he's not even interested and the marriage is closer to a lavender marriage in spirit

Yup author said his marriage in future will be someone strictly platonic, not really anyone “cucking” someone. I will say in someone online communities I’ve browsed through the definitions get blurry and it gets deranged meanings
