Ones where dragons take human form, sure, but I don't remember dragons going human in BoC.
And yeah, it's an odd thing to do a rewrite for. Did a lot of ppl request this? lol
i think you'd be surprised by how much monsterfuckers like dragons lmaooo I'm sure it was heavily requested.
but yeah i just want a timeskip i can't stand people being so mean to kid Mordred for much longer. need AT LEAST a bratty teenager who can fight back a bit

Y'all think Boc will be completed? Man I need your optimism I gave up on it a while ago.
If rewriting again and again ensures more patreons then it will never finish. I can understand when you've got like only a chapter out, and the writer feels it isn't good enough so they rewrite it (bad practixe btw. Wastes too much time), yet rewriting something which was already good with 5 chapters out, is pure desire to prolong the writing process -> get money for longer.

Year of our Lord 2035:
"Today, I bring great news! The game is going to undergo another rewrite, so now you'll be able to romance Stablehand #69 and their dog!!! Subscribe now for the sneak peaks of a new and improved chapter 1!"

(sorry not sorry)
(I know there are valid reasons to do rewrites, just fooling around)

This said, whatever happened to Supernatural in New York (the author's other work)?

Long a55 rambling ahead. Sry.

This is not a critic, not really, just a question that's been bugging me about Oh Mother Where Art Thou about traumatized MC or MC with certain phobias and personalities (i.e detached, reclusive, independent).

Why the hell can't the MC just run off and lock away inside the bedroom when the other families come to visit? And it's kinda insensitive for the lady to force a child with severe trauma to socialize and handle a pretty big crowd for a little human who's been isolated for a long time.

I know some time passed since MC was brought back to her home, but still... idk, something about her "kindness" feels icky to me. It's overbearing, it's stiffling, it's annoying. Sure she's a good good lady and because of that we have to like her, don't we? I mean, isn't she so likable? So nice and kind compared to those other people of Lontapiso that scorn MC, a poor unfortunate orphan?

I also notice that there's this avoidance on writing a problem child to be actually problematic. Most kids who has lived a childhood like MC wouldn't be so easy to handle. A few exchange of words and a crying session and suddenly the repeatedly proven to be stubborn kid is A-okay with talking with you again without some heavy — if not hostile then anxious — tension hanging between them?

Yeah, not really. Children's aren't easy, and that's okay. It takes someone with a strong will to care for them in a good way. I don't get that from the Lady (forgot her name). Instead of a still developing human being, the way she treats MC is more like one would to a doll or a pet.

Maybe I'm just weird, wouldn't be surprised if I'm the only one seeing it this way cause come on, it's clearly a good thing. She's clearly a character that we should like, or at least not annoyed at. But she annoys me so god damn much I can't wait for her to disappear 💀

I truly dislike the stuff made by Rotting-Ink they made an interesting and fascinating premise and ruined it by making it too sexually weird and spending more time on side quests and making patreons then writing the game. like why on gods green earth instead of writing your story or doing something more meaningful you're answering asks about the lenght width and sexual stamina of the werewolf Ros knotted ***** ? And they already mapped out 3 books and more then 15 ros a prequel if and also a rewrite. All before even chapter one is finished
Reading through their tumblr is really a wild ride. I stop following them when they touch stuff like incest and all (though jokingly i guess?), and the reader hyping them up. 💀

Uh, why romance someone who's into someone else lol
Romance in the Night Market is so weird
MC feels like the proverbial fifth wheel
This is one of the reasons The night market doesn't get me excited whenever it updates, I thought the uselessness of MC and being a tenth-wheeler is very annoying, despite being an off-shoot of their literal World, they get treated like trash, I don't have an humiliation kink, thank you.

I also tend to avoid already established relationships in IFs, when I read book 1 I thought bella and gab were always on the verge of running into the sunset with each other, like those two are soulmates, trying to insert MC in there felt too cringe.

I'm still finding it difficult to even get into book 2

Why do so many people still read this? 🤨 I immediately evacuate as soon as I see in a game any signs that MC isn't really important and only serves as a "doormat" for the author's beloved OCs.

MC is supposed to be Main Character. That's what that ****ing acronym stands for.

Night Market is terrible. The plot is a mess. The MC is useless. The author is worse. The fanbase is feral. Honestly, I'd rather have my eyes forcibly held open while somebody made me replay Street Jam until I lost my mind than ever play that game again. Why people like playing as a weak, third-wheel with no agency and all the disrespect from people meant to care about you is baffling. Seek therapy.

honestly any IF demo with more than 4 love interests is automatically on thin ice with me. i think a lot of people underestimate the amount of branching they can realistically write. in my opinion I've only seen lots of ROs work with Shepherds of Haven and The Golden Rose

Would you read an IF without romance included in the story?

I think it depends on the writer if they have experiences in writing romances. If they can differentiate between all RO’s routes, and the RO’s have distinctive personalities then they nailed it. (Like your examples, and I will add WLGYL + ZE: Safe haven)

But if they all have the same date, same convo *yawn*, same is becoming lame at that point. (Even if there are only two LIs, if it’s bland, I’m out 🎙️📴)
