He said that biologically children are attracted to the opposite gender and used it to excuse the mc (a child) having s*x with another child??? This is me reading the thread so i might be misunderstanding because i didnt play the wip but idk how this wasnt closed earlier. Apparently he changed it but the thread was closed anyway
I think he changed this one (but I might be wrong, I only glanced at the thread), and the last drop was having light-skinned people be defined as "intellectually superior" in his other game. That other game's thread was closed by a mod when people complained, and then he (the author) went and closed his other threads, too. Changed the OP to state he won't be writing anything for a while, too.

I dont know about the other game except that theres supposed to be subraces for species, and if you pick humans then all that his brain tought about was skin color. Just lazy for a fantasy imo, but whatever. I saw complains about his bad writing even without the racism and controversial stuff so I dont think anyone will really care if he stops writing
Sucks I was a fan until maybe mid last year, he just started rewriting and changing the story killed his own hype immediately. MC was Asmodeus and I enjoyed the potential story, then he did like 5 rewrites. Changing the whole story and MC so eh
My takeaway is that they'll ban it if drama blows up on the forums.
Aura Clash thread was closed with the official reason being that the author "took up too much of moderators' time", ostensibly due to all the complaints people made about him to the mods.
Project Vampire/Wild Hunt thread likewise got closed after people started complaining.
They've also created a new rule stating that authors must moderate their Discord servers/other spaces they personally create and link to the forums, so that people from there don't come over to cause trouble on CoG forums.
Also the rewrite is confusing, and the pacing’s is all over the place. Kinda feels like he forgot to outline again.
So, finished the demo of OKS, three days of pure bliss and laughs, but I'm disapointed.
I'm disapointed that I cannot pass my save-states to the new one when it will come because I'm using CoM APK version, I'm disapointed because the project is so ambitious that it will never ends, I'm...
Well, let's say that I'm disapointed and sad because I like it more than it should, because, what a whacko project, the most high concept thing I've seen in this genre in a while and I'm old and I'm jaded and I've seen so many project like this that, no, I do not hope to see it completed.
Also, I'm very disapointed wth BoHN, I like it, but the author should take some of his RL takes and shove it up his ***, I hope that a better writer than him would tackle WoD Werewolf in the future.

Short version? politics and the less said the better.
Normally I don't mind, the other werewolves games (the tetralogy one, the one that the third game just got released) thrives on them for example, and I don't care, "A Song of Ice and Fire" to say a non If and stereotipical example also do It too, and I don't care.
But BoHN isn't a political game, so I don't like the keyboard warrior stance of the author shove It down my throat.
I Hope than when the Werewolf Guy ended his series and tackles WoD again, write for WtA, because Parliament of knives is excelent (in which of course there's kindred politics, but I don't care about those)
IIRC He also created Night Road which is very political but presented in a way that's actually fitting especially since there was no real good guys. BoHN is not fitting at all. It's actually boring to read.
The thing with Night Roads is that after all, Vampire Politics are Vampire Politics, Kindred Politics is a staple in Vampire the Masquerade so the political stuff taht isn't that blatant are aceptable inside the norms and rules of the world that it present, Parliament is excelent and thrives on it, but, is Vampire Politics after all.
There's no place for it in Werewolf the Apocalypse, that's why 5th edition is a flop and even the authors and writters of the tabletop game are trying to minimise the stuff because people aren't buying.
I'll never forgive them for butchering my beloved Werewolf: The Apocalypse. As someone who spent much of their adolescence almost obsessively reading the role-playing game's manuals and supplements and who created a chronicle with some friends that lasted over two years... it was simply heartbreaking. They tore out the essence of the metaplot and cut its roots. They were shameless in not expecting that to erode the community's interest.
Decisions like turning Fenrir's brood into a traitorous tribe full of neo-Nazis or distancing the Black Furies from their connection to social and historical movements surrounding the role of women in society... they were ****ing ****.
This project is a joke. The author should have the decency decide whether to work on it seriously or to announce cancellation and stop taking money.
