I just finished beyond the mist and holy **** this was one of the worst ifs ive ever read so far. So, so disappointing how you're paying 21 dollars for ****. Which is so disappointing as well given how much I enjoyed TSSW. I hated MC's personality and how "weak" and a pushover they are. All choices lead to the same thing: boohoo sad me I live with my abusive parent as an adult and there's absolutely nothing I can do about that. You're like a full fledge adult bro, get a job and gtfo. Maybe it's just a me thing but I don't really see how horrendous their life is. Like yeah sure MC's mom is mean and manipulative but the way the ROs react, who btw are genuinely the only people you interact with (which is INSANE to me), you'd think MC's mother was satan reincarnated.
Everything doesn't make sense to me, why would I accept a plane ticket from someone I just met a few days ago? (girl they are going to traffick my ***???) Why insert this random lady being mean to us because we're friends with the RO, then proceed to almost drown her and send her off? When you add these small things to the story they're supposed to showcase something right? What can I conclude from that apart from the RO doesn't like people bullying what's theirs (DUH as if they haven't made it abundantly clear from the amount of times "greed", "possession", "desire" has been written to describe ANY interaction MC has with the ROs). I don't get the point of the story, the pacing is all over the place and the fact that MC does not question anything going on in their life rn is just so wild to me. They acknowledged that part too btw, but they just brushed past it and went back into trance dumb MC mode again. Genuinely such a disappointment, I never make posts like these at all but I was so astounded by the **** I just read I had to say something.

And that, my friend, is why piracy is God send. You pirate that, play it, and if you like it and deem it good and worthy, give author the amount you want via their patreon or kofi. That's how it should be done, if ya ask me

I find it misleading that it's tagged as a VN because of the commissioned artwork. IFs can have artwork and it does not make them VNs. The same way some of these authors will release a IF with 2 to 3 player choices and or many choices but with no game play differences and label their game as an IF. That's not an IF, that's your story that people can click to continue to the next page.
