Stories that left you disappointed for a reason

Blake should have been a full RO instead of him fr.
i genuinely think the author's definition of main ROs is just centered around : miserable, bland, insufferable. with the sole exception of O nd even then they low-key work better as this manager u befriend nd depend on. G nd Vic are a pain in the ***; adults behaving like children. Sev is another can of worms on it own
meanwhile the secondary ROs nd characters like Cory, are way more interesting than this mess we got.

the dad RO reminds me of this Pic, so irrelevant nd so insignificant. i burst out laughing everytime I see the option of thinking abt him or looking for him in the crowd because he's so out of place in this entire game, like I only saw saw u three times throughout it all.
Just wasting space istg
I swear, this guy is so ****ing pushed on mc, like I don't hate the guy, but mc deciding to just ditch the show and others to hang out with a guy they met for two seconds only because his daughter is our super fan? I mean common 😭

Honestly, Amy should have ditched him and made Maya an adult (since she's the character who actually has a reason to be around the MC) so she could be the RO outside of the competition. Would have been way more interesting plus Maya being a pushy, obsessive, super fan intent on being a groupie/stalking her favorite celebrity gives her an actual reason to keep showing up.

Funny enough, Seb is actually the only RO that really works for me, the only one who doesn’t feel problematic. Last time I played, Vic and G still keep dragging us into their miserable marriage drama, while thinking about each other when they’re with us. O still keeps the MC at arm’s length and doesn’t seem over their ex. August kind of fades into the background, whether they’re an RO or not barely changes anything. And honestly, I’m convinced if Seb were a milf instead of a dilf, people wouldn’t dismiss him nearly as much.

Weren’t the three chapters of Love After Death supposed to be getting a rewrite ? Has that happened yet or was it abandoned ? Anyone still keeping up with Ouroboros ?

I think both of the mentioned things are loooong abandoned, though idk for sure

Love after Death will have a new chapter soon if Tumblr is to be believed. Don't know about Ouroboros

Maya is an adult now. 18, I think. She used to be 15 or 16, I don't remember her initial age but she used to be a teen. From what I can remember she wanted the story with Maya to be less weird so I don't she would've went for a romance with her. Her reason for being around and always able to follow BOTB's filming locations is because it's a gift from her dad for graduating High School (not the only reason but that's not relevant). I always want more Blake content anyway so I would've preferred if they were a main RO instead.

I never saw it like that and their POVs tend to suggest they're hesitant about being with MC because of their job and their past actions with their ex wife. They're more worried about the competition and their family but I could be missing something that you know.
Maybe I misinterpreted it, that’s why I said the last time I played, I’d only skimmed about half of Chapter 4 when it released, so you’re probably the one with the better read on it XD. I don’t remember coming across any conversations about their family.

I think it was one of their POVs but don't quote me on that, Maybe the beach one where O invites them to run. They mention their sister in it.

Ah, I forgot she aged her up. The trips to follow around the BOTB as a graduation present for Maya is Sebastian's only reason for being around though which is why I think Amy should have taken him out completely and left Maya in on her own since she's the super fan and thus has a better reason to be hanging around the cast/BOTB events (as well as the motivations to be sneaking places she shouldn't). Or at least have gone with her original idea of Sebastian being a BOTB crew member who sneaks his daughter onto the sets (because she's a super fan). As it is right now Sebastian is just there with no real desire/motivation to be there outside of being his daughter's chaperone which is just really, really boring to me.

I also thought the 21+ event with them both (since Maya's underage for drinking) was super weird because he doesn't seem the type to be enabling his daughter to flout the rules like that.

They're on the trip together because she's going off to college by herself and he wanted to make her happy. I don't think most parents care about a little drinking in the US unless they're super religious and I'm not even sure Maya was drinking any alcohol in that scene. Also, they were only allowed in because Cory secretly let them in (I don't know what her intentions were, to just be nice and let MC's fan in?). I do agree about Sebastian and his scenes. I like Sebastian but I don't ever really want to play his scenes. They come out of nowhere and I'd rather have my characters doing something else rather than running off to hang out with him. That's why I have a dedicated character just for him so I can actually play his route. His scenes where you meet him are fine but when you have to actively avoid the plot in a way to have MC hang out with someone they don't need to know??! That confuses me. There should be more scenes where you learn about him through the main story line so that players are actually enticed to play his scenes and in-story for MCs to be interested enough pursue him instead of just focusing on the show.

I haven't played the chapter yet but she's let people know since at least chapter 1 that MC's vices are going to get worse if they already weren't bad/subdued due to being busy. That's personally why I avoided picking options about drugs or drinking.
which it should except in my case where i didn't choose any vices and I know its not isolated to skipping chapters since there are people who started from the beginning who chose not to drink and are getting sloshed on that brandy in ch5 it honestly comes down to code theres so many variables and the bloat of the game the further along it gets the worse it'll be

Probably a bug but in the rare chance it isn't that's terrible. I wonder how many bugs there are in this chapters? Sadly I always tend to get bugs in demos so that's why I'm waiting to play until some get sorted out.

Maya didn't drink alcohol in that scene yes but her being underage in a setting with alcohol present wasn't my critique. I found it weird that Sebastian enabled her to sneak (or attempt to before Cory allowed them in) into the venue when he doesn't come across as the type of parent who'd be fine with that. It was weird in the way it was out-of-place to me based on what we're given of his character up to that point.

To add; the bolded part is generally my problem with Sebastian (alongside his lack of personal motivation/desire when it comes to being around the BOTB as a whole); which is why I think Maya by herself is the better character for the plot as she is the one who wants to be there, who wants to get close to the MC, and is willing to break rules/sneak around to do so. Like, if Maya wasn't there Sebastian wouldn't have any reason to be present whereas Maya without Sebastian does. Sebastian just doesn't fit with the rest of the game imho (he feels like he's in the wrong game most of the time). I don't know if I'm making any sense but purely from a character motivations + plot standpoint I'm just saying Maya would have been an overall better pick as an RO over Sebastian because she has an actual interest in being at the BOTB and has her own reasons to push her way into the plot of the story and be around the rest of the cast.

While I get what you mean, I've never had the feeling of wanting to romance Maya so I don't feel the same. Maya is also someone that MC doesn't need to know being that she just graduated from high school and is a fan of theirs and without him she'd have no reason to be there either since it is a family trip that he arranged, is paying for, and is maintaining. He's meant to fill the single dad trope among a few others and he has a set gender so I get why some wouldn't want to be with him. Blake should've been more than just a side romance and the side romance slot Blake took up should've went to Cory or someone else. I do think a character like Sebastian can fit in the game and does have a place but she just hasn't implemented him well.

Im pretty sure she said Sebastian is going to play a bigger role but isn't he an accountant or something idk i don't mind him or his daughter from afar but him as a RO hes a bit squirrel-y for me and out of all the other options hes like last on the list Blake should have a been a main RO regardless if he has a set story or whatever it was she said about the side ROs and then there's L who's just there but not really since hes only showed up twice so far

I think he is in IT...I remember technology of some variety and works from home (sorry if I'm misremembering horribly). You also forgot E who is very forgettable. L is apparently going to have a bigger role once the cast gets to California. Also, Blake having a set story that is by default going to probably end badly is so unappealing when I think of it for too long. I'm sticking with O and Dakota for now.
