Could still setup a donations tab on the site, if everyone contributed, it could easily surpass the $60 per month that is needed. Ultimately a new more reliable revenue stream is going to be needed.

I don't really care about the corn ads. I was initially a bit panicked cause I thought I had gotten virus on my PC. If I had known the issue was from the site, I would have simply ignored it without any problem. So yeah, if needed, just put the corn ads. Some kind of membership would be fine too, people who pay dont see the ads or smt.

What many here are failing to realise is 18+ ads are not suitable for those under 18 which is likely a good portion of users already. And income made from ads is not a lot. I agree some form of adverts are necessary long term but not 18+. Donations are the way to go it's a small price to pay for the outstanding work and GUARENTEED working and safe mods unlike 80-90% of other sites that never bother to fix broken mods or hide Ad ware in the download or other malicious files.

The issue is that donations can only be made in cryptocurrency, and 90% of people will be unable to do that. That's why corn ads are acceptable to most people, and the age factor makes no difference because they will see it anyway on other pirated sites or even in sites like X when they are watching corn, that we know they do. I also highly doubt your claim of 'suitable for those under 18, which is likely a good portion of users already'

Maybe a popup asking if you're 18+ to enter the site could be beneficial, so there's a warning that they may see some adult content. many of the mods and downloadable games hosted are 18+

We are using Boosty to accept donations via Cards. Boosty is very similar to platforms like Patreon, Ko-Fi, etc so it should be convenient and we also accept Crypto so you can send me a message to know more.

Also Boosty is taking a commission of 13-15% of the overall amount received, So this month's target is $70 actually and not 60.

Now to come back to the today's discussion, If you guys haven't noticed already then there are no more ads on the website. Previously we were using a good ad network which had banners across the site with mainstream content (nothing 18+, offensive or shady). Unfortunately a few days earlier the ad network disabled our account due to a reason which doesn't make an absurd reason which was false. I did send an appeal but they rejected it.

After this I tried some other ad networks but they are nowhere near the previous provider. The rates are not sustainable and many are applying 18+ ads along with shady pop scripts which I personally do not want you guys to experience.

Unfortunately at the same time if we are unable able to find any solution to the money problem as we do need to pay the server and domain bills then I am afraid we will have to close the website. Also due to our current server nearing the maximum storage capacity we will need to upgrade it.

At the moment, I have funds to run the server for another 3 months but that's how much I can pay including some out of my own pocket.
I was thinking that a dedicated server with good cpu, ram and enough storage for the next 3 years would be good rather than our current VPS which is not scalable either. Currently we will need to make $60/per month if we were to go with the new dedicated server.

I have consulted with the staff as well about this situation and honestly we don't have any ideas other than user donations which due to privacy reasons will need to be done in crypto currency. Additionally I am open to other ideas which users think we can go ahead with to save this forum.

Edit (07-20-2025): Thank you guys for your amazing response. I have received many messages and DMs about ideas as well as support for donations. I have thought about this and I think we will be going through the donations. Many people said crypto would be a problem so we are working on an alternative similar to Patreon/Ko-Fi which would be secure for us. Additionally, based on the feedback received so far, I think we will be able to raise the amount per month so we won't be using any sort of advertisements. I will add the options later after I create a transparency report. So stay tuned for more updates.
