Create monthly memberships for a fee for those who do not want to see ads.

How about a Patreon? With some tiers, the highest tier gets priority on which game gets modded first, etc. The money we all save without having to spend on every CoG and HG is a lot. Maybe if some of us can spare even a fraction of that for the Patreon, it would help run the servers. Also, as a side comment, the mod menus are god tier; there's no place like this with quality this high. It would be a shame to lose this site.

Crypto is an amazing way to draw assets, however, I don't know how many of our pirating crew mates know how to use it.

I think both ads and donating are most feasible option. Better not use Patreon because someone could buy the tier just to snitch. And probably would it break some copyrights. Dunno if Kofi is better or buymecoffee? Maybe for safety crypto is good for those who want to donate.

Better not use patreon in general, it ****ing sucks, and I'm still mad they took down CK (Corrupted Kingdoms, technically pron but literally peak fiction)

Corn ads are definitely the way to go. It's a pirating site, after all. And I think we'd all rather cringe for a second then cry for a lifetime if the site shuts down--and most of us have malware protection and antivirus already installed because we're downloading this stuff.

Also like Frozen Death said, I don't know if Patreon or Kofi would even be viable, not because of the IP address though since you could find a way to ping that, but because of the nature of this site and how it technically "steals content". They might not be down with that.

I was referring to intellectual property rights and not internet address. We might have a bit of misunderstanding on that one but i agree with your point too.

With some type of daily update that measures approximately how many more views are needed to run the website?

I think that's viable and maybe make it mandatory before downloading a game so it can actually generate revenue. You can't download your game if you don't watch ads within reason of course. I've seen website do that IIRC.

I’d definitely be down to support through Patreon, Ko-fi, or Buy Me a Coffee (unfortunately crypto’s a no-go for me :<). I’ve been around long enough to know how much this place means, not just for the mods and games, but for the people. It’s one of the few communities on the internet that actually feels like a community, and I’d hate to see it go just because of funding issues.

As for the Ads, yeah, Corn Ads and all that are tricky. Personally, I could live with it (I’ve got AdBlock running anyway).

You can do a vote/poll for people if they are with or against corn Ads, just to close that argument.

Thanks for being transparent with us about everything, @Daniel. Hopefully we can find a sustainable way to keep CoM alive.

i dont mind any ads if it keeps this site available, even tho 18+ ads will require some users to turn on vpn
