I will accept pron ads only if they have vampire kinks.
Crypto is an amazing way to draw assets, however, I don't know how many of our pirating crew mates know how to use it.

Also like Frozen Death said, I don't know if Patreon or Kofi would even be viable, not because of the IP address though since you could find a way to ping that, but because of the nature of this site and how it technically "steals content". They might not be down with that.

I was referring to intellectual property rights and not internet address. We might have a bit of misunderstanding on that one but i agree with your point too.

I think that's viable and maybe make it mandatory before downloading a game so it can actually generate revenue. You can't download your game if you don't watch ads within reason of course. I've seen website do that IIRC.

I’d definitely be down to support through Patreon, Ko-fi, or Buy Me a Coffee (unfortunately crypto’s a no-go for me :<). I’ve been around long enough to know how much this place means, not just for the mods and games, but for the people. It’s one of the few communities on the internet that actually feels like a community, and I’d hate to see it go just because of funding issues.

As for the Ads, yeah, Corn Ads and all that are tricky. Personally, I could live with it (I’ve got AdBlock running anyway).

You can do a vote/poll for people if they are with or against corn Ads, just to close that argument.

Thanks for being transparent with us about everything, @Daniel. Hopefully we can find a sustainable way to keep CoM alive.

Thank you guys for your amazing response. I have received many messages and DMs about ideas as well as support for donations. I have thought about this and I think we will be going through the donations. Many people said crypto would be a problem so we are working on an alternative similar to Patreon/Ko-Fi which would be secure for us. Additionally, based on the feedback received so far, I think we will be able to raise the amount per month so we won't need to add any sort of advertisements. I will add the options later after I create a transparency report. Also since the community would be investing into the maintenance of this forum so I believe it is fair to bring the members into loop as well for future development and features so I will create an appropriate sub forum or communication channel for that. So stay tuned for more updates.

P.S.: Stop hoarding the mods. We are not closing.

Previously we were using a good ad network which had banners across the site with mainstream content (nothing 18+, offensive or shady). Unfortunately a few days earlier the ad network disabled our account due to a reason which doesn't make an absurd reason which was false. I did send an appeal but they rejected it.

After this I tried some other ad networks but they are nowhere near the previous provider. The rates are not sustainable and many are applying 18+ ads along with shady pop scripts which I personally do not want you guys to experience.

Unfortunately at the same time if we are unable able to find any solution to the money problem as we do need to pay the server and domain bills then I am afraid we will have to close the website. Also due to our current server nearing the maximum storage capacity we will need to upgrade it.

At the moment, I have funds to run the server for another 3 months but that's how much I can pay including some out of my own pocket.
I was thinking that a dedicated server with good cpu, ram and enough storage for the next 3 years would be good rather than our current VPS which is not scalable either. Currently we will need to make $60/per month if we were to go with the new dedicated server.

I have consulted with the staff as well about this situation and honestly we don't have any ideas other than user donations which due to privacy reasons will need to be done in crypto currency. Additionally I am open to other ideas which users think we can go ahead with to save this forum.

I may never say a word / joining any discussions mostly , but this time i can't just stay silent

This forum/site means a lot to me , since the day I discovered COG-based game during my visit at S****y site. I instantly fell in love with it. Those games (I can't mention all of them) helped me a lot during that hard period in my life. Later... they nuked it , we went with D*****d , but it's too risky. So we finally start properly with this site. I'm sure we will find a way to survive and rise again.

I'm forever grateful for you and your team @Daniel 🙏
So do what you think necessary for this site survival , you have my full support. Memberships , donations , etc. I'll gladly accept it. Thank you 🙏

I love the site, I love people who work selflessly to provide us with mods, I love sneaky patrons who provide us with various paid content, I love the site owners who made this possible in the first place most of all I love all you community members even if some of your are kind of morons.
Ads? Boost? Ko fi? Doesn't matter me and others will support to keep this site running.

I'm okay if you guys have to resort to Corn ads, I personally don't mind it. That and a Patreon page, can keep this site lucrative enough. We'll support you fully. Or atleast I will.

Honestly now one would have to resort to modding CYOA if they just had that option from the get go. I would gladly pay for it, if I can make it Sandboxed like I could with your generous mods.
