Tbh I just got the vibe that they were very into it, but we all know MC is an unreliable narrator, so who knows really.so am I right and Dakota was playing it up a bit for fun to see if they'll get caught?

Noooo, because we need ****ing Sebastian to think about because, well, reasonsUghhh. All I want is my multilayered Orion or Seven rock star romance simulator. With the protagonist going by Twentyfour, and their old band getting called 24/7.
Can the author be done with the useless side - romance clutter?
You know, so she can focus more on Orion and Seven - our starters!
Yup, but legally if you/your paterons/the platform you are using are in EU or follow EU laws, you have to disclose that. Like, yanno, the devs that implement stuff like Denuvo have to disclose what info and how it is being collected. I work in localization so I have translated a great deal of various user agreements. By law she probably has to have big bold disclaimer on her Patreon page that goes smth like 'when you access my content, I have access to your IP address, the time you accessed the content, your Patreon name etc.'Authors have ways of tracking you
Same. If I paid for patreon, I expect to keep access to stuff that was there at the moment when I subscribed. This is also a reason I moved away from music subscrption services to owning a DAP with my whole music library.I won't even pay for a patreon if I know that they do either thing
Just as bad as sims 4 modders, wow.Yup, but legally if you/your paterons/the platform you are using are in EU or follow EU laws, you have to disclose that. Soooooo with that message Jude could land herself in some hot water with Patreon. But oh well... I'm not going to give legal advice on a piracy website![]()
ETA: nvm, saw your post about them.Just as bad as sims 4 modders, wow.
They're not tracking you through wifi, because that would be some serious stuff, but what I think is the case is the connection between having to have a patreon, and her content. What just happened in WIPs thread is hilarious. Authors have ways of tracking you and people leave trails online. At least wait a week before leaking anything .
Anyway, the only patreons I'm interested in leaks for happen to have paywalls for games or side content. I know its a very common tactic used for IF authors but it really shouldn't be and the same goes for indie Unity devs who have required patreon logins attached to their games even when paid for. I won't even pay for a patreon if I know that they do either thing. And again, this wouldn't be as much of an issue if they started releasing builds so patreon subscribers who arent leakers can also resume access to content they paid for within that time period which they subscribed. Notice how all the things I dislike and won't pay for also require a wifi connection at all times?
Also, I don't think she has to do any of that, but Patreon has to say that.Soooooo with that message Jude could land herself in some hot water with Patreon.
You are misunderstanding what I meant. I wasnt even talking about tracking there. I was talking about making it so that if you want to play a patreon IF or some indie Unity games you have to be on wifi. Which I dislike and wont pay for. They're not tracking you through wifi, because that would be some serious stuff, but what I think is the case is the connection between having to have a patreon, and her content.
You see, there are ways to track a whole lotta ****, that's actually legal. You have tracker websites which you can put on your blog/website for example, that can give you ips and whatnot, and since she does have a website, I mean...
Ohh, yeah, mb then. But yeah, it really sucks that you can't just download it and have it. Which is literally the whole point of paying in the first place. You are misunderstanding what I meant. Then they'll reply "There’s no ethical consumption under capitalism” and that will make them feel better and morally superior. I also bet the authors using these trackers are all about internet privacy (despite having tumblrs) yet track their paying customers lmao.Ohh, yeah, mb then. I swear, these new if/wip writers will be like "revolt against capitalism and the fact that you have to pay for everything and possess nothing", and then will do that exact same thing smh
Nonono, you don't get it: you can pirate from big game companies when they use anti-consumer practices, but when a small creator uses the same anti-consumer practices, pirating is morally wrongI swear, these new if/wip writers will be like "revolt against capitalism and the fact that you have to pay for everything and possess nothing", and then will do that exact same thing smh
Privacy, censorship, all that good stuff, but as long as those rules don't apply to them. If it's them, then it's a free country smhThen they'll reply "There’s no ethical consumption under capitalism” and that will make them feel better and morally superior. I can understand it to an extent, but if you pull bs like that? ****ing tracking the ips and what they even do with the content? Like common now (and I'm not even talking about the anti-consumer stuff, such as continuously paying for access to a single piece of content. Just put a price tag of 300$ on it and call it a day ffs But oh, no one will buy that, yeah no ****)Nonono, you don't get it: you can pirate from big game companies when they use anti-consumer practices, but when a small creator uses the same anti-consumer practices, pirating is morally wrong/s
The author has a distinct writing style where neither MC nor ROsAnd ofc i hated the MC
I just read Excellent Cadavers not knowing the author. Holy ****, its just misery ****. The author clearly loves to torture the MC and even SA them at times. Not to mention torture the readers on top of that and not in a good way. Whats the point of personality tab if the MC is going to be the same anyway? And ofc i hated the MC. Not one second did i feel any sense of satisfaction reading it. I mean, i can see a good setting for a revenge story but the way the author writes the MC pisses me off. Theyre just a loser in all the worst ways possible.
I think that's her whole shtick, yeahThe author has a distinct writing style where neither MC nor ROsnor anyone reallyfeel like someone pleasant to be around. But EC feels like it's, idk, overdoing it? MC aside (who it seems will get character development if the player so chooses), Dante, for example, reads like some psycho caricature.
