Degrees of Lewdity- I mean where do I honestly begin? I'll say our character looks like a little kid despite being 18, the graphics during the s e x scenes are soo horrible it's cringe worthy, the whole game is just, I mean there are NO words to describe how terrible that game is. When I read about it, I was like f u c k yes something great. Till you go in then you realize it's terrible. Biggest turn off in history. There was nothing in it that made... Well you guys know. So yea that's my take. Have a great evening and hopefully you guys find something alot better. Truthfully, my condolences if you played this game.
I definitely wasn't expecting to see this game here 💀

For me only Alex and Robin are worth it, nice look btw
Robin is a sweetiee!!! I have a tattoo (the PC, obviously) on the chest with "Robin's protector" written on, while for Alex i dunno, i saw him once at the pub drunk and he offered me drinks one after one, I know there's a pregnancy content for him which I want to try! Anyway, thank uuu<333

Alas, not many people have posted on it. It seems everybody — including me — is more likely to be drawn towards the rants!
S h i t man I have a handful I'd love to recommend and talk about, everyone already knows them probably lmao but still, just point me in the right direction and let me get started.

The same thing can be said about such games as Arcadie: Second-Born or Whiskey-Four 🤔 And in my opinion they had an even bigger problem with a lack of agency.

In Whiskey-Four (stupid name, by the way xd) you don't even have a choice of vice. MC was an alcoholic; for some reason, this thing particularly annoyed me...
So far there's one route that MC must follow, has quite set attitude towards their employer, is a cyborg, set skills: they seem to be good only in fighting and shooting, ex romantic partner who they are afraid of... A lot of set things compared to FH. That's why they feels to me more like a character from a traditional novel. However it was still great WIP to read. I enjoyed it more than the first game of that author (I, the Forgotten).

In FH you are forced to be a criminal, yes, you are telepath and you have a set past but there are a lot of choices that matter and paths. It's more visible in Retribution, tho.
(Sorry for the late reply, I only pop in here once a month or so.)

Your point is valid, but the weird thing is: I absolutely love Whiskey-Four. It's one of my absolute faves. I think the reason I can forgive the similar flaws you point out is that it's so fast-paced and snappy. It doesn't give me time to question my character agency or whether I actually want to be this character, it just sweeps you up into the plot and there's no time to think, only to act and react. Can't wait for it to be released.

That said, I'll try to give Fallen Hero another go when I have the time. So many people love it, I must have missed something or not been in the right mood for it. (And I like Fallen Hero's author too, they seem great. I really do want to like it.)

This is the most toxic, mean, selfish bastard I ever saw in IF game and yet the author favors them (also make MC the biggest loser in the story), and people are delighted with that f#@&!* Sometimes I don't understand the community...
the only reason I like seven is that I can keep them as ex, for the drama. But actively romancing them??? yeah no.

Seven kinda remind me of that opportunist RO from the cog game where the mc is professor in magical school like hogwarts. I don't remember the name of the game nor the ro name, but good lord i despise them.
They constantly belittle mc and cutting them, even though we play as the most polite bastard ever.

Great book, the author is very productive but i dont like the way mc's music career (if we can even call it that) is talked about in the book. Throughout the demo, i felt like a complete loser. No one, apart from G is willing to stroke your ego with praise. Reactions of other contestants, audience, interviews etc etc all downplay the mc. Nobody cares about mc's music, only their relationship with seven.

Also not particularly fond of the seven and avina fiasco. Recently, it came into my attention that the author described avina and seven as 'soulmates' on the forum and later explained it as a delibrate narrative choice. The issue is, this wasnt in the text. This is something the author, the creator herself stated, which makes you feel like a thirdwheel. If avina and seven are so perfect for each other, they why would you make seven an ro? Why should the mc rob 7 of someone who is inherently 'perfect' for 7?

The fandom. They jump on anyone who offers the slightest of bit of critique. Validating or invalidating your opinion based on what they think is right. 'Its a wip. Things are subject to change.' exactly, isnt that the point of posting a demo? to get reviews? 'its only chapter two. give her time to work her magic.' i am giving her time. but i am also entitled to share my views of the demo so far. I am not going to sit back and keep my opinion to myself in hopes of things changing in the future. Of what could happen. The potential. We will talk about it when it does happen. So far it hasnt and I am going to complain.

I feel like this point can be applied to every IF fandom in Tumblr. They have this cult like following it's actually insane.
Of course i'm in no way on the side of people who sent a hate letter towards the author, or harrassing them etc. But they are so closed off to criticism it's very mind boggling.

I remember this one author (not infamous author btw, it's someone else, and i will not name) get mad when the reader point out that they dislike this particular RO because of their 'agressive behaviour'. The author then make unrelated response by saying that the RO is POC, and so the reader is racist for feeling that way. Absolutely bonker reaction.

I thought I was the only person who draws attention to it and who didn’t like it (you will say it and you will get hate from the crowds of fanatics). MC did not even win fairly, which I found damn humiliating for me as a player for whom music was what encouraged me to this game. It was supposed to be their first great success in their career and it would not be possible without G help. Let's be honest - it's embarrassing. I thought that later with subsequent performances it would be better, but as you said - everything is around Seven. I'm sick of it.

Its funny really. These fanatics will tell you to be patient since we are only in chapter two rn but when the book is released only about these two or three chapters are going to be free as demo for ppl to decide whether they want to purchase the whole book or not. If during that portion the player feels like a complete loser, invalidated and sick of the whole seven drama, will they really buy it? The answer is no. And then they get mad at you for pointing it out.

I thought I was the only one, honestly... Nowadays I don't play much (if at all) because those things bother me a great deal.
Also, adding my two cents to your review - another thing that I heavily disliked was Seven's reaction to the whole, uh, band thing. Okay if you chose the option that MC voted to kick they out, but if you didn't -- I don't know, I feel like it's really unjustified while everyone (reader and author alike) tries to make it seem like it isn't. Really, even if the MC says they DIDN'T vote for kicking Seven out, they just go and go about how they don't wanna talk about it anymore and that they're happy with their new band etc.
In a final note, almost the whole game is heavily centered around Seven as you said; if you're romancing them, fine, but if you aren't... Idk, it's annoying at best, deal breaker at most.

I wondered if there was something more that MC did (although I didn't notice this in the demo), except that unfortunate vote thing. If so, it had to be something really terrible, because Seven acts towards MC as if they were ruined their life or worse... Although Seven was the one who achieved success (unlike MC), people love them and have a new partner, so there is nothing to complain about. And yet they cannot (at least publicly) behave around to MC like adult?
Come on Seven, years have passed, you have a career now and great future, you can stop being a oversensitive teenager 🙄

They are such a piece of **** that does not care that MC is trying to apologize, reconcile and they continue to treat them like trash. I remembered it well because I played a nice and shy MC, so it shocked me a lot.

I personally don't dislike seven. Yes, they are childish but I can understand where they are coming from. You can choose to hate seven back just as equally. My issue is that mc's music and talent is barely acknowledged in the demo. I don't want to be the star of the show but I would like to feel a little like I matter. The only time the mc and their band is discussed about is when talking about the fall out and even then seven is the main focus.

How so? Some MCs did not vote against them, it's not even their fault but hatred seems to be directed mainly at MC. This one reason just seems ridiculous. Voting. I mean, it's democratic 🤷

My issue is that mc's music and talent is barely acknowledged in the demo.
I completely agree with you here..
